Conductive Music started its journey in Newham, so it was especially lovely to be back where it all began.

Last week, Ms Jones shared a little STEAM magic at Newham Libraries — turning drawings into musical instruments and showing how creativity, technology, and music can come together.

And yes… we think the one in the middle might be a Fuggler. Possibly the first Fuggler musical instrument? 😄

A big thank you to Newham Libraries for inviting us to share creativity with the local community.

Take a look at these fantastic graphic scores created by Year 2 at Friar's Grove Primary!

Using the Chrome Music Lab Kandinsky app, pupils composed their own music by drawing circles to create high, middle, and low sounds. Then came the magic... ✨

Did you know that when you draw circles in one continuous movement, the app creates singing faces that blink while they perform your music? The classroom was full of smiles as pupils watched their artwork come to life!

A wonderful way to explore music, art, and technology together through creativity.

🎶⚡ Making music with a touch of STEAM!
At Orton Wistow Primary, Year 4 joined Miss Yui to build their own digital instruments using Makey Makey.
From there, pupils worked together to compose and perform an original song, discovering how music, science, and technology can come together in creative and exciting ways.
A huge thank you to Peterborough Music Hub - PMH for their continued support in bringing innovative music technology into schools.

What better way to end the week than by turning pencil drawings into a piano?

At Fir Ends School, Lower KS2 pupils created a graphite piano and composed their own songs using a grid. 🎹✏️🎵

The session combined creativity, music, science, and technology as pupils explored how everyday materials can be turned into interactive musical instruments.

A huge thank you to Cumbria Music Hub for making this fun lesson happen.

🎨🎵 Science, music, and computing all in one lesson!

At Temple Sowerby C of E Primary School, our KS1 pupils joined Miss Yui for a hands-on STEAM adventure, exploring how technology can turn simple drawings into musical instruments.

Using graphite, pupils created their own instruments. Learning how to use their bodies to keep their favourite colours and notes on screen.

A huge thank you to Cumbria Music Hub for making this fun learning experience possible.

Special shoutout to Playtronica for creating technology that inspires children to explore sound in new and exciting ways!

Yes, Chrome Music Lab Kandinsky becomes your instrument! 🎨🎶✨

At Weston Village Primary, Year 2 students worked with Mr E to compose their own songs using instruments created from their drawings.

By turning shapes, colours, and lines into sound, pupils explored the connection between art, music, and technology in a fun and creative way. The results were as unique as the artists themselves! 🎵🖍️

A fantastic example of STEAM learning in action.
