ππβοΈ Learning, laughter and lots of fun at Bear Hugs β Sandy Hill Branch! βοΈππ
Our little learners have been busy exploring numbers, mark-making, counting, cutting skills and creative expression! π’βοΈπ¨ From recognising and matching numbers π²π’ to developing early writing skills ππ and practising safe scissor control through colourful crafts βοΈπ³, every activity is helping to build confidence and independence.
We loved seeing the children concentrate as they circled letters and numbers πβ¨, took turns during number games π²π€, and carefully cut and arranged colourful strips to create their own unique masterpieces ππ¨. These activities support early maths, literacy, fine motor development and problem-solving skills while making learning exciting and engaging! π§ π‘β

β¨π Sensory Play Fun at Bear Hugs Day Nursery β Timbercroft Branch! πβ¨
Our children had an amazing time exploring this exciting sparkly tuff tray activity today! π€©π Using glitter β¨, water π¦, pipettes π§ͺ, cups π₯€, funnels π», colourful letters π€, and lots of other exciting resources, the children were busy investigating, pouring, scooping, squeezing, and creating! π¨π
This hands-on activity encouraged the children to develop their fine motor skills π€πͺ, hand-eye coordination ππ, and early literacy skills as they discovered and explored the colourful letters hidden within the tray π€πππβ€οΈ. There was plenty of curiosity π€, problem-solving π§ , and imaginative play as the children experimented with different ways of moving the water and glitter around the tray π¦β¨π.
The children loved watching the glitter sparkle β¨, mixing colours π¨, filling and emptying containers π₯€, and making exciting discoveries through play! ππ There were so many smiles π, giggles π€, and moments of wonder throughout the activity ππ«.

Yesterday, our little chefs had the BEST time making their very own fruity popsicles! πππ«
From choosing delicious fruits to mixing colourful flavours and creating yummy frozen treats, there were smiles, giggles, and sticky little fingers everywhere ππ§‘
The children loved getting hands-on and exploring healthy, tasty ingredients while having so much fun together ππ©βπ³π
Activities like this help encourage creativity, independence, and healthy eating habits β all while making special memories with friends πβ¨

Our little explorers had so much fun celebrating and learning all about caring for our planet πβ¨ A big highlight of the day was getting creative with our fun connectable construction toys π§©π§βtheyβre just like paper clips, so the children could link them together in endless ways to build, design, and invent! π§ π
From colourful creations to imaginative structures, the children showed brilliant teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity as they built their own mini worlds πποΈπ«
It was a joyful, hands-on day full of laughter, learning, and eco-friendly inspiration πΏππ We are so proud of our amazing Earth champions for showing such care for our planet!
