Did you know that we have teamed up with Arts & Craft Studio in Barnes?

Why not look at our forthcoming Write, Illustrate & Publish, which is a two day course on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd April from 10am to 3pm?

Kids can learn key creative writing skills, with a focus on unreliable narrators, dynamic openings and new vocabulary. In combination with this, they will also illustrate their stories with Hayley's help, working with collage, print and watercolour ink drawings before learning to bind their book at the end.

Students will be taught a wealth of creative tricks and techniques and, best of all, learn how to combine these lessons into an object of real beauty that the family can treasure forever.

📚 Book of the Week - Summer Reading List Edition 🌞 📚

School’s out for summer! 🥳 So whether you're getting away or not, we're going to give you a weekly recommendation of an excellent and transportive novel that can take you far away from London! 🏝

This week our choice is for younger readers around Years 2 and 3, and it's called Goldfish on Vacation by Sally Lloyd-Jones! 🐟

"H, Little O, and Baby Em are stuck in the city for the summer with only their pet goldfish--Barracuda, Patch, and Fiss--for company. It's looking like it might be a pretty boring vacation, but one day, something exciting happens. Someone starts fixing up the old fountain down the street--the one Grandpa says horses used to drink from before everyone had cars--and a sign appears: Calling All Goldfish Looking for a Summer Home. H, Little O, and Baby Em can't wait to send their goldfish on vacation, and the fish, well, they seem pretty excited too."

It's August 🤯 When did that happen?! (Well yes, yesterday, but...)

While this month is usually a little quieter, this year we seem to be busier than ever with lots of new enquiries for next term and our Mock Exams next weekend! 📝

We're feeling good for it though! 💪

📚 Book of the Week - Summer Reading List Edition 🌞 📚

School’s out for summer! 🥳 So whether you're getting away or not, we're going to give you a weekly recommendation of an excellent and transportive novel that can take you far away from London! 🏝

This week’s is the first in the seminal Dark Rising series, Over Sea, Under Stone by Susan Cooper! 👏🏻 A great series for those prepping for 11+ after summer ⬆️

"On holiday in Cornwall, Simon, Jane and Barney Drew discover an ancient map in the attic of the Grey House, where they are staying with their mysterious Great-Uncle Merry. They know immediately that it is special. But it is much more than just a map...

It is the start of a quest to find a grail, a source of great power that could contain - or resurrect - the powerful, age-old forces of evil in the world. And the Drews are not the only ones searching for it."
