WE DID IT! 🎉 Selwyn Primary School is officially the recipient of the Artsmark Award 🏆✨

A huge thank you to our incredible students, staff, and families who make achievements like this possible.

Read a quote from our assessors below.

Selwyn Primary School has undertaken a highly reflective and ambitious Artsmark journey, successfully strengthening the role of arts and culture as a central feature of the school’s values, curriculum and community life. A particular strength lies in leadership and curriculum design, where the establishment of the Artsmark steering group has created a clear structure for planning, monitoring and evaluating provision across all phases of the school, including the SEND resource base.

Little hands, big discoveries 🦕✨

This week in PPP, we made our own salt dough fossils! We developed our fine motor skills by stretching, rolling and shaping the dough before creating our chosen fossil prints. A fun and creative activity inspired by the past! 🌟

Growing our knowledge 🌱🔢

In Science, we explored what keeps a seed healthy, sorting the stages of germination and learning what happens at each stage of a plant's growth. In PPP, we practised our number bonds to 10 by sorting blocks and finding different ways to make 10. A fantastic week of learning and discovery! ✨

Basketball, coaching and unforgettable experiences 🏀

On Friday, our Year 6 girls attended a fantastic NBA event at UEL SportsDock. They took part in a coaching session with an NBA coach, watched and played in games, and even enjoyed a thrilling dunk contest. To top it all off, each pupil received a free NBA t-shirt to take home.

A brilliant day that inspired a love of sport and teamwork! 👏

Roaring into creativity 🦖✨

We made paper plate dinosaurs this week, developing our creative skills by using a variety of materials and strengthening our fine motor skills as we carefully cut out and assembled the different body parts.

Great work, everyone! 🎨✂️
