Had a great session with my Y9 student last week, practising this plus loci and constructions.

I ❤️ teaching time! Such a tricky concept, but with hands on resources and small steps it becomes much easier!

✨Can a teddy bears’ tea party actually teach measurement? 👇

Yes! We measured the straws to make the fit the cups, experimenting with different lengths. Then we practised counting in 5s to measure out each drink.

We also investigated how much the tiny cup would hold, counting in 5s through 100! Super progress!

Angles in parallel lines can be tricky to spot, however after making lots of ‘Z’, ‘F’ and ‘C’ shapes in a variety of orientations, my KS4 students are smashing this topic!

✨It’s been a busy few weeks at Red Kite Tuition HQ and I’ve had no time to post.

Here’s a little snapshot from my wonderful pair working towards the Kent Test. We used my bingo machine to generate numbers, then drew factor bugs to determine if the number was prime.

Love that we can have a bit of fun as well as super focussed quiet work on non verbal reasoning skills.
