Thank you to the fantastic student ambassadors at César Ritz Colleges Switzerland 🇨🇭✨
We really appreciated you taking the time to show us around the campus and share your experiences of student life. Hearing directly from students always brings a place to life and gives invaluable insight into what makes a school unique.
Thank you for the warm welcome and for representing the College so well 👏

It was a real pleasure to attend the Claremont School Centenary Dinner at Langan's Brasserie in Mayfair. 🎉

A wonderful celebration of 100 years of educational excellence and community.

Our thanks to Ed Dickie and the Claremont team for such an enjoyable evening, full of conversation, connection, and vision for the school’s future as part of the International Schools Partnership.

We were delighted to see Jenny Seed, the newly appointed Head of Admissions, and to hear more about Claremont’s continued growth and international outlook.

A memorable event that perfectly captured the warmth and ambition of the Claremont community. 🌟

Here’s to the next 100 years! 🥂

Truman & Tring recently visited Oakham School in Rutland and were delighted by the warm welcome, stunning campus, and the school’s holistic approach to education.

Oakham offers both A Levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB), striking the perfect balance between academic rigour, exceptional sports programmes, state‑of‑the‑art facilities, and a truly global student body.

A big thank you to Helen Pearce-McNeill, Joanna Berrett, Zoe Jarvis, the students, and the rest of the team for the insightful tour and conversations. We are excited to support families who would thrive in such a dynamic environment.

We recently visited d'Overbroecks in Oxford, a well‑regarded sixth-form college known for its progressive, informal approach and small class sizes.

The college stands out for offering students autonomy—no uniform, assemblies, or prefect system—with individuals addressed by their first names and encouraged to take ownership of their learning.
Its academic record is strong, with around two‑thirds of students achieving A*/A at A‑level.

Our thanks go to Seoras Strain and Nari Park for their time, and to Elena Shestakova for coordinating the visit.

Hands Off English Literature! It’s tempting but entirely wrong to judge historical mores and customs by the standards of our time. To take this one step further and investigate Shakespearean texts for their racism and lack of gender equality is a bre...

Truman and Tring had the pleasure of visiting Whitgift School — a standout in Croydon and one of the UK’s top independent schools for boys.
Selective and academically ambitious, Whitgift nurtures not only intellectual growth but also confidence, character, and resilience in its students.

With 100+ co-curricular activities, exceptional music and sport, immaculate grounds (yes, the famous peacocks are still there!), and a warm, spotless boarding house, the environment is as enriching as it is inspiring.
We were especially impressed by Whitgift’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, made possible through generous bursaries and scholarships for talented boys from all backgrounds.

Whitgift is clearly shaping young men to lead with purpose in tomorrow’s world.

We recently visited King's College, Latvia, part of the Inspired Education Group, located just outside Riga. Opened in 2017, this purpose-built international school offers a British curriculum from Early Years through to IGCSE, followed by the IB Diploma in Sixth Form.

The campus is modern, well-resourced, and designed to support both academic and pastoral development. Classrooms are spacious and bright, sports facilities are excellent, and the overall environment is calm and focused.

Students were engaged, confident, and courteous — reflecting the school’s strong pastoral care and clear expectations. The staff team is committed, with a mix of UK-trained and international educators delivering high-quality teaching in English.

With its dual curriculum model and a growing reputation in the region, King’s College Latvia is well placed to support internationally minded families seeking a rigorous and nurturing British education in the Baltics.

Thank you to Aleksandra Baranova and the team for a warm and informative visit.

We were delighted to visit Blackheath High School, part of the GDST network.

A huge thank you to Ruby Osibona for the warm welcome. It was truly inspiring to witness a school where girls are encouraged to lead, question, and thrive.

✨ A place where girls are empowered.

The Real Value of Tutoring 28/04/2025

*The Real Value of Tutoring*

There’s never been a better time for private tutors. Demand has escalated, and not just because of the pandemic and its aftermath. Both in the private and independent education sectors, tutors have never had it so good. But are we using tutors for the right reasons and not just for pushing unsuspecting students into schools they may not be suited for?
