❄️ NO COATS IN THE CAR SEAT ❄️ It’s reeeaaally dangerous to strap your little (and big) ones in with their coat on in their car seat. Padding inside of coats and jackets will compress in a crash which leaves the straps dangerously loose. Loose straps = child could be ejected from the seat completely and/or suffer serious injury. Any bulky clothing including snow suits, coats, jackets, raincoats, gilets and thick clothing with padding needs to be removed before you tighten their car seat straps or seatbelt. This even applies to big kids in boosters and also adults! The further away the seatbelt or the straps are from your body, the more injury you will sustain in a crash. How to keep your littles warm instead of a coat in the car: ✅ thin layers of clothing ✅ heat up the car first ✅ keep a warm blanket in the car for after buckling ✅ put their coat on backwards after you’ve done the straps ✅ place a hot water bottle in their seat before they get in (remove from the car before they get in) The car warms up pretty quickly and children often feel the cold less than us adults so try not to worry too much 😊 Winter car seat safety #carseatsafety #rearfacingcarseat #carseatsafetyuk #extendedrearfacing

We are looking for a driven and ambitious candidate with a passion for caring for children to work as part of our Peter Pan’s family. They must be dedicated to learn from our experienced team and enthusiastic to work towards taking on a key carer role, planning activities, monitoring child progress and planning for their next steps. They will be expected to promote and encourage good practice throughout the setting.

More than anything you must be flexible, dedicated, loyal, keen to learn more, a team player and have the ability to use your initiative and think outside of the box.

We are looking for:

🌟Level 2 in childcare or above

🌟Must have good knowledge of the EYFS

🌟Paediatric first aid preferred but not essential

🌟A genuine passion for early years and a commitment to providing the best possible care

🌟Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with parents and colleagues

🌟The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
