HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE MIDWIFE! π€
What a fantastic vocation we are all working towards! We are so proud of each and every one of you β€οΈ and of course the amazing lecturers who go above and beyond to ensure we feel supported and ready to get out there and become amazing midwives.
We also recognise that today is a particularly sad day for our midwifery colleagues at CCCU. Please reach out to your friends and colleagues who you may know from placement. We cannot imagine what they're going through πͺ

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well and not feeling too stressed with any upcoming exams/essays/placement. Our inbox is always open π«
Don't forget our screening discussion with RM Louise Armstrong TODAY on teams at 12pm. The link was sent to your email π₯° we can supply attendees with a certificate of attendance for your all important port folio.
ALSO! Keep next Wednesday afternoon at 5pm FREE. We have another amazing guest speaker who has asked to come and have a chat with the midwifery students at Greenwich. We are just finalising the paperwork so cannot disclose who it is yet, but it's not to be missed!

Hi everyone! We have finally reorganised the talk from the screening midwives- apologies for the delay.
Midwives Louise and Clare will be coming in to discuss all things screening, and what we are screening for. This is so important for the families we care for, and it is important we understand the conditions we are screening for so we can provide our families will all the information they need.
We hope you can make itπ₯° it is going to be held in the Sparrows Farm skills lab- we have attached some maps as a guide for you. There will of course be certificates for your portfolios. See you then! π

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic winter break and are ready to return π«
Couple of things from us:
We have another event for your diary!
*16th January 12-2pm, ground floor of Wren building. *
We have an amazing midwife, Louise, coming to speak to us about all things screening- from booking bloods to NBBS, and lots of discussion about what we screen FOR. This will help us improve our care to women and expand our knowledge further π«
There will of course be a certificate for your port folios; we will leave a pen and paper at the front of the room and email these out afterwards π«
Also!
Our little society is one of the smallest in the uni, and Olivia and I try our best to give you all the best from us. We are looking into adding to our committee! Do let us know if you would be interestedπ it's great for socialising, developing your communication skills, and will look great on job applications π€ either message us on here on the insta page.
Lastly!
We really want to have a night out in the next couple of months! We are knee deep in exam prep and dissertation prep atm, which is why a little help would be SO appreciated. We just need to send some emails to confirm how many places we could have on the committee.
And thats it! (For now π€£)
See you on the 16th!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well π
Unfortunately we have had to change the date for our Wavey Wednesday, as both Olivia and I are on placement that evening. We thought it would be a nice idea to do it mid January to celebrate our exams finishing and starting a new year! We will let you know a date nearer the time.
Also, can those of you who attended the perinatal mental health talk in person send us an inbox or email with your names and emails please so we can send you your certificate π₯° those of you who attended online, we can access your name from teams.
And one last thing, pleaseeee send us some fabulous Friday nominations, we've not had any in ages! It cab be a colleague or lecturer π₯° someone who you want to spread a little positivity toβ¨οΈ

Thankyou to everyone who joined the perinatal mental health talk this evening, both in person and online β€οΈ wasn't Laura fantastic!?
We are going to be sending out certificates of attendance, just bare with us whilst we organise this π₯°
We also want to invite you to join us on a Wavey Wednesday night out on 7th December! Waves Wednesdays are now ticketed, so you'll need to purchase a ticket on the GSU website before the night πΆ
I know some people will be on placement, but I'm sure there will be more nights out in the new year that more students can attend ππ
Also, please don't forgot about Fabulous Friday nominations! We've not had any for a while and they really help lift people's spirits and spread some positivity β¨οΈ
