Today has been one of the best days, Today I was reminded of the power of Hope and all that it brings to those who chose to embrace its potential and see through all that can be created if you are willing to take the action that is needed to get what you desire most.

It has been another week of incredible victories for PEAK winning tribunal and mediation cases now across the UK, but on a personal level it has been a week were at the conclusion I find myself in a true moment of clear purpose in which I see an incredible future as it begins to unfold and a world that when my time comes I will have been grateful to have been a part of.

I encourage us all to find this, and continue to strive towards the best life we can live and the best future we can give đź’«

Thank you

How to unleash your full potential:

A pawn can be a powerful piece in a game of chess. Though it has limited moves, the choices and timing of the direction you move your pawn can change the game in your favour. As to can you in life. Here’s a few ways to get you started:

1. Recognise your strengths. Like a pawn piece has a value. What is your value? How can you use this to your advantage?
2. Look at the whole chess board. Look at the pieces around you. What are your resources that can help you get to where you need to be?
3. Even in chess there are sacrifices. Whether you wanted them to be or not. Was / is it “time” that you need to sacrifice to work on your goal or is it money or food or dates with friends? What ever it is, consider if it will be worth the sacrifice for your mental health along the game, not just to meet your goal.
4. Develop and plan. Think ahead, plan ahead, which square you fall onto will you be knocked down and do you have resources (other pieces) you can put into play?
5. Bit of a controversial tip here but don’t try to reinvent the wheel (or reinvent the game as we’re clearly using chess pun here!) Plan, practise, acknowledge, learn from each game and keep going,

But as the saying goes “to win you have to make a move” . What move will you make? As always, L2M are here to support you with personal and business growth.

Are you exhausted after a long week? Are you giving the majority of your energy to a company, helping to build their dreams whilst yours sit on the back burner? Here’s 7 top tips to get your dreams into reality:

1. Keep thinking of the bigger picture. Everyday do something towards achieving your dream. No matter how small, whether it be making a little research or reciting a daily affirmation to yourself, if it’s going to help remind and focus you on what you want then go for it.
2. Create a routine for yourself. Make a check list of everything you need to complete in order to get that goal in your grasp. Then once or twice a week (or daily!) start working on that list until you have everything ticked off.
3. Remember that progress is progress no matter how far or how many the steps. So prioritise your check list and see if you can work through the important areas first.
4. Consider what is eating up your free time. Are you giving energy to the wrong places that you could use to establish your own dreams? Learn to say no to commitments that add no value to you reaching your goal.
5. Write it down or get a visual image. Put your dreams up on the wall or mirror (anywhere) that you can see them each day! Be sure that it’s the first thing that you see when you wake up and the final thought before falling asleep. Mindset is everything.
6. Know your skills, understand where you can get your resources. Everybody needs help. Whether it’s someone to boost and cheer you on to reach your goal or add valuable information / suggestions to help you build your dream. Find your people who will back you and keep you motivated when you need it.
7. Get inspired. Find time to either meditate, work out, go for a walk. But take that time to rest your brain and allow yourself to open up to your imagination and new possibilities...Afterall your dream started with a single thought in the first place!

Whether you have a personal goal or a business goal to meet, obstacles can come like curve balls in the wind. Ask yourself, are you are putting these obstacles up yourself out of a fear of failing or is anxiety hindering you from success? Either way, curve balls may have a knock on affect to our mental health or ability to perform future tasks. So, what can you do about it? Here’s some tips to help you overcome them:

1. Early detection of the ball flying in your direction will help you know whether to hit it away or catch it and deal with it. When we know what may happen we can better prepare for it. Even if it’s self induced.
2. Caution of the ripple effect. When unexpected and unwanted things happen, it can have a ripple effect to your well being. Consider if the obstacle is something to worry about in a week’s time, a year’s time etc. Then you can decide as to how much time you allocate time and energy on the issue.
3. Let it go! Whatever obstacle has come or coming, allow yourself to decide on how much time you will mull over it before releasing the thought or worry away. This will take some discipline. It’s not always easy to do, especially when somethings on your mind. But with practise and understanding that you will improve your mental health for your future benefit it’s worth practising.
4. Take a step back, consider someone else you admire in your shoes and how they would cope in the situation. This will allow you to be open to the possibilities of other avenues to fix the problem. Sometimes you just need to think creatively and think outside of the problem.

What’s also important to remember is that once you have overcome the issue, acknowledge and reflect the inner power you have created for yourself. Admire that you have just become tougher, stronger, more creative in your problem solving technique and prepared should it happen again. Likewise reflect on what really mattered during that time. Was the issue worth temporarily affecting your mental state or those around you?

The mind is a powerful tool. The best part of this is that It can be trained…
Having negative thoughts is natural but letting them spiral is something we can control to help move that mental shift into a more positive and productive thought pattern. But how? Here’s a couple of ideas to get you started:

1. Pause. What a negative thought enters, take a pause. Try not to act on it (mentally or physically). Pausing allows you to access the situation and determine if it your negative thought is a false fear or a true reality.
2. “I should” verses “I’ll try”. Saying “I should do a workout, or I should eat heathier” puts a demand and pressure on your subconscious. Instead say “I’ll try to do a workout today or I’ll try to eat heathier.” This is a kinder way to motivate yourself without the pressure. Of course, you can say “I will” but equally this could too pose a pressure or thoughts of guilt if you didn’t meet your goal.
3. Recognise the pattens! Are you having more negative thoughts on a certain day? Are you in certain company that doesn’t support good mental health? Try to take a mental note of when these patterns form so you can have a better understanding of yourself and limit your time in negative social circles.

These are just a couple of many routes you can take to push away negative thoughts.
L2M take pride in ourselves for improving daily positive thinking and finding ways to better improve our personal lives. If you are keen to find some support and guidance no matter your circumstances please get in touch. We would love to help you get you where you want to be.

“Think outside the box!” That great saying coined in the early 1960’s is a recognisable phrase to motivate and promote creativity to any task that you apply it too! Promoting you to challenge the rules and boundaries of a situation, ask more questions from yourself and others to gain perspective and reason, and to push you out of the comfort zone into new territory.

…But likewise don’t forget to use the box itself! Use what you know, what skillset you possess, your strengths, and resources. Use these as a foundation, then embrace your own creativity and get building, get going and enjoy growing!

If you’re on your own it may feel somewhat easier to control your thoughts without exterior distraction. But what about when you’re around other people or challenging situations? Here’s 3 ideas to help refocus your mind:

1. Breathing is often the number one way to ease your body and mind. There’s science behind the method! Controlling your breathing patterns slows your heart rate and the nerves connected to your brain allowing you to have a calmer and more controlled body and mind. So next time you feel your mind wandering off to the darker side of your mind!..breath deeply as many times as you need to get you back on track.

2. Positive affirmations. What you tell yourself, you hear! Feeding yourself positive words of encouragement or reminders of achievements and gratitude of the good things in your life is a great way to control emotions and promote that feel good factor.

3. Pause and Repeat. Sometimes it just takes a few minutes to remove yourself from the computer or a conversation (by excusing yourself for the bathroom for example). It’s perfectly okay and reasonable to remove yourself from company or something you’re working on for a few minutes so that you can return more focused and energised.
