Fasting is a deeply personal experience, but it’s also a powerful way to build understanding and community. On Tuesday, 25th March, we’re inviting all students and staff, whether you observe Ramadan or not, to take part in our Solidarity Fast.

This is an opportunity to stand with those who are fasting, learn more about the experience, and reflect on the values of patience, gratitude, and compassion.

To bring our community together, we’re also hosting a campus Iftar event tomorrow evening! This is a chance to break fast as a community, share a meal, and connect. Spaces are limited, so be sure to book your spot online. Find all the details to sign up in our stories!

This is the final week to nominate yourself for Elections 2025. If you’ve been thinking about running for a Student Officer or Student Trustee role, now is the time to submit your nomination.

The deadline is the 28th of March, and there won’t be another chance until next year. If you want to represent students, lead change, and make a difference, don’t miss this opportunity.

Reclaim the Night is happening on 28th March at MDX House! Join us from 5:30 PM, with the march starting at 6 PM.

This event is about standing together to demand safer streets and a world where walking home at night doesn’t feel like a risk. After the march, we’ll gather to share stories, connect, and talk about how we can create lasting change.

Boost your studies for your upcoming exams! Brighter Futures Grants are back for Middlesex students!

We’re partnering with Santander to help you achieve your goals by giving away £1,000 to 10 lucky students. Use the funds for rent, bills, study resources, or anything else you need.

To enter, follow these 4 simple steps:
1. Register for Santander Open Academy, a free online learning platform (if you haven’t already)
2. Click the verification link in your confirmation email
3. Log in and choose ‘Get Started’ to complete your entry into the Brighter Futures Grants programme. Select Middlesex from the menu
4. Submit your entry by 11pm on 15 May 2025.

All students are eligible, including undergraduates, postgraduates, part-time, and full-time students. You don’t need to have a bank with Santander to get involved.
