Equal Education

Equal Education Equal Education is a social enterprise that provides tuition for children in care and those with special educational needs across the UK.

We want to improve outcomes for these learners and narrow the attainment gap. Equal Education is a tuition agency with a difference, we only work with Local Authorities, Schools, and Virtual Schools. We wish to provide the high quality tuition services available in the UK to those who we feel will benefit and deserve it the most. Our mission is a social mission and we are driven to narrow the educational gap between children in care and those who aren’t. Our tutors share this mindset and enjoy working with us. Many of them being fully qualified teachers would not consider tutoring otherwise. We focus and specialise with children in care and those with SEND. Our experiences have found that many of them have completely different educational requirements than traditional private tuition. This includes students having a poor command of the English language and significant and challenging behaviour. We understand the challenging environment that Schools and Virtual Schools operate within. We have first hand experience of the financial and staff constraints they have. Which is why we offer a competitive flat rate per hour and handle much of the administration ourselves.

Big changes are coming to education in England.

From 2029, new vocational GCSEs and 200,000 new work experience placements are being introduced to give young people practical, hands-on skills for the workplace.

These new courses carry the exact same weight as traditional GCSEs, meaning students won't have to choose between hands-on learning and strong qualifications.
