SIKAT- Helping Children Develop, is a grassroots charitable trust registered inEngland and Wales in 2008. It has been set up to benefit the children and young adult in the Philippines by providing books and equipment,commissioning buildings and development project, initially in the Village of Calingag in the province of Oriental Mindoro. SIKAT work's in the UK is mainly fundraising and administration. This work is carried out entirely by the unpaid trustees and volunteers.

Our Story

SIKAT- Helping Children Develop, is a grassroots charitable trust registered in England and Wales in 2008. It has been set up to benefit the children and young adult in the Philippines through education by providing books and equipment, commissioning buildings and development project, initially in the Village of Calingag in the province of Oriental Mindoro.

SIKAT’s aims are to help young people without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, race, political or religious background. To advance their education, including pre-school activities and adult education and training. To develop young people’s skills and capabilities so they are able to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals. To provide recreational and leisure activities in the interest of their social welfare. and To give them a chance to pursue careers which they would not otherwise be able to follow through lack of means.
