POV: the forest play kids have made it to bird level 😎 (unofficial tree climbing qualification grading system)
We’ve added more dates to our booking page for folks wanting to attend the Stay & Play during the Easter holidays, so if you’re free come along with your little ones (older and younger siblings are more than welcome too!).
And as a side note, if anyone knows why my phone looks like a Black Mirror scene when I zoom in too much please let me know ✨💩✨

Our next Community Picnic is juuuust around the corner. We’ll be celebrating all things Spring 🌱 and stuffing our faces (hooooooopefully) in the 🌞 sunshine🤞🏻
If you like our Mud Kitchen, we’re sure you’ll love this!
We rock up with equipment and resources for everyone to use. Seasonal activities, the odd song or jig.
Everyone brings some food to share. Grazing is totally accepted and expected.
We call it a day at some point in the afternoon. Everyone is welcome to come and go as they please (we’re used to working around various sleep cycles of little ones, so you do you and we’ll support as best as we can!)
& that’s it! Plain & simple. Just an opportunity for us to get together and hang out really. We ask for a small donation per family to go towards the cost of resources and materials. But this is strictly non-profit. All excess funds are recycled and used to buy materials for the next picnic. If the Community Pot ever amounts to anything substantial, it will be up to you, the community, to decide what we do with it.
Any questions or for free tickets, drop us a message 💚

Oh look, it’s Katie’s favourite game: The Signs Of Spring 🌿✨
🌸 If you’ve been to any of our recent sessions, at some point, Katie will have sent you on a hunt for or directed your attention to the buds, the flowers, or the greens - to all of the elements that indicate our environment is slowly but surely changing. February holds the quiet of Winter’s slumber AND the beginnings of the bursting energy of Spring. We’re in the threshold between two seasons, and you only need to look around you to feel it.
🌱 Look for Primrose, Nettle, Chickweed, Yarrow & Cleavers. Maybe you’ll see your first Bumblebee, or ChiffChaff… Blackthorn is already signalling the way for the rest of the trees to bloom, find her white blossoms amongst thorny branches … blossom tree streets incoming 🥳

POV: you run a monthly mud kitchen on a Sunday and only remember that you need photos and videos to promote future pop-ups AFTER the event is finished but you’ve been out in the cold & rain for two hours already so the motivation for content creation is low
🙏🏻 Thanks to everyone that came out yesterday! We look forward to more muddy mud kitchens (in whatever weather!) in the coming months, and getting to spend more time with you all outside 💕
Until next time 🌿✨

✨ Upcoming events for February ✨
As you will be able to tell, no February Wild Week this year 🫣🥲 the lovely Conservation Area is still closed so we’re going to be using the time to look for alternative sites for our April Wild Weeks instead!
We hope you’ve all had a wonderful (almost) first month of 2026 and are settling into whatever routines and rhythms are presenting themselves to you.
We’re finalising our Foraging Calendar too so be on the look out for those announcements if you’re in the mood to deep dive into some plant knowledge this year 🌿💕
