At Highgate Montessori we love to explore through our senses! Children really benefit from exploring at their own pace and crafting with natural items such as grass, leaves and flowers really brings them close to nature too 🍃🍂🌸

During our Spring School we have been concentrating on creativity and sports. Easter bonnets have been a firm favourite at the art area and this kind of activity is perfect for helping strengthen those fine motor skills!

We are a busy Montessori nursery and pre-school in Pond Square, London (N6) looking for an experienced, competent, and proactive Montessori Guardian/Teacher to work with our 3 – 6-year-old children.

The ideal candidate must have sound knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, child development, Montessori philosophy, and competent use of the Montessori apparatus.

You will be a key member of the team acting as a positive role model to the children and supporting Highgate Montessori in the delivery and maintenance of outstanding service.

Newly-qualified applicants will be considered.

Requirements:

MUST hold a teaching qualification in Montessori.
Montessori Early Years International Diploma.
Montessori and/or an Early Years Foundation Degree.
Sound knowledge and experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Experience within a vertically grouped classroom is essential.
First Aid Certificate.
D.B.S.
At least one year’s continued experience working within a Montessori environment.

Prepared to work in all weather conditions as part of our open-air learning programme.

Fluent in both written and spoken English.

Competent to use computers and technology with confidence, ease, and minimal frustration.

Your role:

To support and direct up to 12 Key Children, including required recordkeeping, and to ensure their developmental, personal, social, and emotional needs are met in a safe and caring manner.

Working in partnership with parents to pro-actively support children’s care and development.

Adhering to Health and Safety policies, maintaining risk assessments, and relevant documentation.

Attend parent seminars and promotional days.

Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care & education.

Monday to Friday 7.30 am – 4.30 pm (Full Time)

Montessori Guardian / Teacher Vacancy
We are looking for a full-time Montessori Guardian (Teacher) to join our supportive, professional, and highly experienced team, to work in our vertically grouped, open planned classrooms to support in preparing and maintaining the Montessori and outdoor learning environments on a daily basis for either our Toddlers (18 months – up to 3 years) or our Preschool Children (3 – 6 years).

At Highgate Montessori the needs of the child and the family come first, we aim to be a partner in nurturing and upbringing the children and families we care for.
