CTLS - Center for Transnational Legal Studies London A one-of-its-kind global partnership in legal education, encompassing students and faculty from over 25 world-class law schools.

Our shared vision:

* Leaders of the legal profession in this 21st century need to understand law within the context of different legal systems and different cultures.

* Lawyers will increasingly be called upon to advise businesses, individuals, non-governmental entities, and governments in matters that involve parties, laws, and judicial or arbitral bodies in two or more jurisdictions.

* To prepare for careers that transcend the borders of their home countries, students need to develop transnational perspectives. CTLS offers students and faculty an unparalleled opportunity to participate in a semester-long intensive program in international, comparative and transnational law, unlike any conventional "study abroad" or exchange program. The Center's small size and multicultural orientation provide the opportunity for students to learn in a uniquely active, participatory way.

We're reflecting on a great day at this year's CTLS Global Conference! Prof. David Feldman delivered an engaging keynote on 'Sovereignties and Clashing Goods in Transnational Legal Orders' - a perfect close to a day full of discussions on threats to the rule of law and legal norms. The event brought together many from the CTLS community including alumni, former faculty and members of our Executive Council.

We warmly invite members of the CTLS Community to this a keynote lecture on 'Sovereignties and Clashing Goods in Transnational Legal Orders' by Professor David Feldman, a distinguished scholar of constitutional and human rights law. The event will take place on 21st May at The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn.

This lecture will conclude our annual CTLS Global Conference which this year focuses on 'Transnational Law in Peril: Responding to Threats to the Rule of Law and Legal Norms'
