LingSoc is back for the 2024/25 academic year and we are excited to welcome you (back) to UCL!

All UCL linguistics students are automatically members of LingSoc, and all events will be free of charge!

We’re inviting undergrads, postgrads/masters and faculty to come join us on Tuesday Oct 1st from 18:00-20:00 in Chandler House B02 for snacks and refreshments and to come meet and catch up with everyone in our UCL Linguistics community. We will be playing some games and getting to know each other!

Year 3 students,

We know you are quite busy around this time of the year, stressed over your long essay mainly. However, due to many proposals, we invite you to participate in our event where you can present your Long essay to fellow year 1 and year 2 students. The event will be very relaxed and fun. You will also have the opportunity to hear some ideas and feedback from your peers. Your projects could inspire other people!

Join us on March 12th from 12pm-1:30pm in room 118 for a Module Selection Q&A! This event is welcome to all linguistics students on any degree, and it’s a great opportunity for students to gain better insights into module choices for next year. You can also help other student by giving advice on classes you’ve already taken. Pizza and refreshments will be provided 🍕🥤
