🏆 Huge congratulations to our G10 student Zoë on placing second in the ISA Comic Strip Competition with their work 'Stories'!
Taking a unique spin on 'Cultures Around The World', Zoë explored global folklore and mythical creatures through horror - from shapeshifting vultures to Japanese spider women. Using Procreate to create their distinctive painted style, Zoë's digital masterpiece caught the eye of judge Steve Marchant from the Cartoon Museum.
Already an accomplished artist and webcomic creator, Zoë credits Ms Stoneman for encouraging their entry while studying Persepolis. Well done, Zoë! 👏

🔬 Celebrating Women & Girls in Science at Halcyon!
Our special assembly featured an incredible lineup: DeepMind COO Lila Ibrahim sharing insights from the Nobel Prize-winning AlphaFold project, Dr. Cristina Pina with her groundbreaking blood stem cell research, plus two brilliant role models closer to home - our own Halcyon alum Defne Karagul ('23) and Women in STEM ambassador Chloe Bailey, PhD Researcher in Biochemistry!
Huge thanks to our Women in STEM student ambassadors for making this inspiring day happen! Together, we're challenging stereotypes and empowering the next generation of scientists. 💪
The message was clear: be bold, be curious, and never let barriers stand in your way! 🚀

To close out the half-term our girls' basketball team brought home a fantastic 10-4 victory against Hillingdon!
Stellar defense and incredible teamwork led by Coach Ozzy made all the difference. Shoutout to our scorers Nina (6 pts), Stella (2 pts), and Elsanore (2 pts) 🔥
So proud of the determination and spirit shown on court all season. This is just the beginning! 💪

Our G10 Portraits Playlist project brought together art, tech, and creativity in an unforgettable way. Students explored the National Portrait Gallery, created Spotify playlists inspired by portraits, and used AI to dive deep into artistic perspectives.
