Degree qualified guitarist, UWL examiner and experienced teacher. Daniel Udall - A guitar tutor, session musician and composer based in Highams Park, Waltham Forest. Daniel has wide variety of teaching experience from tutoring beginners to university students. He has a 100 percent exam pass rate and also works as a music examiner for London College of Music. Daniel is also an approved Duke of Edinburgh activity provider. He has a proven record of composing, session work, performing and teaches all styles ranging from classical-rock.

Another performance from our recent student recital. This time it’s performing one of her original tunes. Iris is currently progressing very well on the local gig circuit and achieving great things.

Watching students grow in confidence and perform in front of an audience is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

Learning guitar isn’t just about playing the right notes it’s about building confidence, enjoying music, and having the opportunity to share it with others.

Many schools focus heavily on performance, but the theory/listening side is worth a huge number of marks and is often where students lose out.
I’m running small-group GCSE Music workshops this August to help students strengthen key exam areas including:
• Theory & notation
• Set works
• Listening skills
• Harmony/chords
• Exam technique

Massive congratulations to Jane, who went straight in at Grade 3 and came away with a Distinction.

This is a seriously impressive achievement. Her playing has come on rapidly, and this result is a reflection of the effort she’s been putting in week after week.
Well deserved, and just the beginning. On to the next challenge!

From a complete beginner to the lead guitarist in his own band, it’s been amazing to watch Leon’s journey.
I’ve been teaching him since he was 7, and the progress he’s made over the years has been incredible. He’s now performing regularly, doing really well in his GCSE Music studies and has just achieved a merit in his grade 5 RSL exam.

This is exactly why I love teaching. Seeing students develop from the very start to this level never loses its impact! Keep going Leon 🎸🔥
