On the 2nd pic ➡️ is just one example of a food product that is potentially causing harm to those who are unaware of ingredients.
🛒 This came from a 'Show Me Your Shopping' consultation that I did at the beginning of the week for an elder, booked by her concerned daughter.
🤔 So, garlic and coriander seasoning - it should be pretty harmless right? 🧄
Really it should contain garlic and errmmm coriander 🤷🏾♀️
WRONG!
⚠️ The main ingredient in this particular brand is SALT...
➡️ SALT MAKES UP 54% - so if for example you use a teaspoon of this seasoning, more than half of that teaspoon will be salt.
🧂 Now what if you then add more salt as a seasoning? That's a lot of salt which contributes to high blood pressure and then heart problems, kidney problems, joint & bone problems and so forth.
➡️ GARLIC IS ONLY 15% of the ingredients
➡️ CORIANDER IS ONLY 12% of the ingredients
On top of that, you have the additives:
➡️ E621 - which is the flavour enhancer MSG or monosodiumglutamate: a controversial topic for many years but health concerns around its use since dismissed.
However, the process to create MSG is through fermentation and fermentation is acidic, so I personally am not ok with the consumption of this.
➡️ E551 - Silicon dioxide: which stops the powder clumping together. It's been cited as 'generally safe for consumption' but there are concerns over the 'nano-particles' which are the very small elements which could make their way into human cells.
But nobody knows because there hasn't been any 'long term studies' to provide this data 🙄
➡️ PLUS WHEAT FLOUR- so anyone with an intolerance or allergy to gluten may find that this seasoning causes problems.
So we've gone from a simple Garlic & Coriander seasoning to a potential health danger!!
Knowledge is health
Book your 'Show Me Your Shopping' consultation today and let's find out whether your food is possibly making you sick 🤒

We've all heard the saying 'Feed a cold and starve a fever".
But there is some crucial information missing!
The full saying is:
"If you feed a cold you will have to starve a fever"
Meaning that at the first signs of a cold - which is actually the body going through a natural detoxification and healing process - if you then consume the wrong things such as dairy, meat, starches, alcohol, coffee, sugar etc and medications, then what you are doing is increasing the toxin load that the body is trying to get rid of by overwhelming it with more toxins, which then progresses onto fever as the body has to switch its method of recovery 😒
At the first signs of runny nose, sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, sore throat etc you should only eat fresh fruit and drink water to aid your body's healing process 💚
(This does not constitute medical advice blah blah blah but actually.....it does)

Now why wouldn't this ever happen? 🤔
Have you ever seen a national campaign or programme where everyone can get free fruit?
Fruit is the most beneficial food source for us to be eating in abundance, yet many people struggle to even eat a single piece each day, leading to (preventable) deficiencies and illnesses.
Should we be receiving free fruit instead of.....?

The Door to Raw!
Healthy eating isn't just about 7 days, it's a lifestyle and lifelong commitment.
Eating raw foods (non-cooked, unprocessed foods in their natural state) should be part of each day.
You don't necessarily have to have a 100% raw diet, but incorporating into every day meals is essential as well as changing some of the ingredients and ways that meals are cooked.
💝 I have 2 offers for you this January
➡️ Show Me Your Shopping - let me see in your cupboards and fridge (virtually) and I'll advise you on some changes that you should and could make to cut out any dangerous additives that may be lurking in those boxes and jars which are causing problems in your body and how these can be replaced with healthier alternatives.
➡️ Food Coaching - 121 support to really get your eating habits under control.
Not a diet plan but a self-awareness and appreciation plan.
Taking responsibility for making the changes that you've wanted to do for some time but haven't known how or started and then always stopping.
We'll work together to make adaptations that are sustainable and enjoyable!
Prices valid until 31st January

Lovely testimonial from someone who took part in the and stuck to it every day!
Well done to them 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
That was real dedication and the results show.
Change is a matter of mindset, discipline, following through and not giving up if there is a bad day. You pick up from where you left off and go again.

That's it...we're at the end of the 😀
I hope that you've enjoyed some new flavours and food experiences this week.
3 tips to carry forward:-
🔺️ Don't go and eat a lot of junk food or anything very sugary including alcohol.
If you've eaten mostly raw this week, then your body has been going through a detox process and if you now fill it with rubbish it's going to have a tough time coping.
🟩 Try and eat at least 1 raw meal a day.
If you have your final meal of the day raw, this will really help your digestive system overnight when it should be doing less work not more, which is what happens if you eat carbs, meat, sugar etc last thing at night.
🔺️ Don't ignore what your body is telling you.
After eating if you then feel instantly tired, bloated, headache, dizzy, sick, skin breakouts, joint pains, muscle aches etc - your body is letting you know that it isn't happy with what's being put in it.
Thank you for all taking part. Please drop me a message with any feedback or questions

1 cold avocado
2 heaped teaspoons cacao powder
2 teaspoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Adjust ingredients to suits your taste.

💥 Let's make the last meal of the really special!
By now, you've found your own style and additions for the meals so it's time to combine all those flavours as if you were in the final of a cooking competition.
Or, you can just keep it simple 😁

Smoothie in a wine glass, because why not 🤷🏾♀️
Cheers everyone!!
You've made it through to day 7.
And whether you started and stuck to it every day, or started and fell off - either way you tried something different.
👏🏾 But a round of applause for all those have kept it raw for the 7 days.
It's not easy to have to change the thought process around shopping and preparing food when we typically buy and make the same things over and over.
I know that this week has brought a new experience to lots of people who are now committed to being more experimental in the kitchen and have noticed how good they feel in comparison to when they eat heavy carbs, meat, processed or sugary foods.
Keep it raw for the rest of the day 😃
