‘As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against their enemies…” — 2 Chronicles 20:22

Can you reimagine dance as a spiritual weapon in the middle of the battle?

When fear, doubt, or disappointment try to take ground, choose praise. While the enemy expects panic, God honours worship. Some battles aren’t won by striving harder but by lifting your eyes higher.

Keep dancing. Keep worshipping. Keep praising through the storm. God is fighting for you even when you cannot yet see the breakthrough.

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” — 2 Corinthians 4:17

Sometimes we all need a reminder eternity is real.

The challenges we’re facing today are real, but compared to eternity, they are light and momentary.

God is doing something deeper through them, even when we can’t see it.

As I was playing, at worship practice I was reminded of the concept of Ngoma—a word used in several African cultures that can refer to the drumming, dancing, music, and gathering all at once.

They’re not separated in the way they often are in UK culture; they’re part of the same conversation.

As a dancer, drumming helps me hear the music differently. And as a drummer, dance helps me feel and respond to the movement of the worship team.

Together we’re learning to move as one body, supporting one another and creating an atmosphere where people can encounter God.

There’s something powerful about artists coming together in unity. We bear fruit together, carry one another through difficult seasons, and keep pointing each other back to Christ and eternity.

🛑OFFICIAL SELECTION🛑

I am delighted to share that PAUSE has been officially selected by the Tokyo International Short Film Festival, with screening details to be announced. Tokyo Short Film Festival

Described by the festival’s review team as “A Choreography of Liberation” and “a genuine, tangible fusion of dance and story,” PAUSE explores how women navigate pressure, anxiety, limitation, and healing through movement. (Read full review in bio)

Combining dance, narrative, and cinematic storytelling, the film follows four women on a journey from striving towards freedom, rest, and restoration. The review praised the film’s ability to create a “real and tangible fusion of dance and story,” noting that “dance complements and drives the story forward” rather than serving as decoration.

The festival also described PAUSE as “artistic, delicate and captivating,” recognising its exploration of liberation, resilience, beauty, and the human desire to live fully.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)

Every testimony carries power. In my latest film PAUSE (2026), the dancers explored their own stories of healing and what God was doing within that.

These personal testimonies were interwoven with the journeys of 4 powerful women from Scripture, helping to shape four characters on a healing journey with Christ.

Through movement, reflection, and embodied storytelling, PAUSE invites us to slow down, listen, and discover how God meets us in the wilderness, the waiting, and the process of becoming whole. Out later this year.. follow for details.
