Orchard was delighted to welcome Deputy , Dylan Law to speak with our Year 5 and 6 pupils. He shared his journey into local , his role as , and inspired pupils to think about , service and making a difference in their communities. 🌟🏛️ Hackney Council

Our children did fantastic at the HOKA Hackney School Challenge, running one mile alongside pupils from across the local community! They showed great , and , encouraging one another every step of the way. It was also wonderful to see parents joining in and helping create such a positive spirit. Most importantly, everyone had fun and finished with a real sense of achievement! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

enjoyed listening to story of the The Little Red Hen, exploring its message about and . They worked together to help Ms Mendoza make banana bread and watched it rise in the oven before enjoying their tasty treat! 🍌🍞

Year 6 enjoyed their first session, learning how to use their paddles and developing their on the water. They took part in a range of fun challenges, including across the lake and even attempting it in reverse! A fantastic session that helped build and . 🚣‍♂️🌊

Year 2 had the opportunity to smell, touch and taste a variety of as part of their learning in . They then planted their own herbs, developing their understanding of how plants grow . 🌿🪴

Orchard staff enjoyed a lovely themed this morning to thank them for all their hard work this term ☀️🥐🍓 Onto the last term! 💚

Our took part in a recent meeting where they joined in with demonstrations for Orchard’s upcoming road safety music video. 🚸🎬

Year 1 visited the Museum of the Home. They explored how homes have changed through the years and even saw what a house in 2040 might look like! They loved spotting old appliances like a flat iron and carpet be**er that they have been learning about in . 🏠🕰️

Our Team were eager to help tidy the area outside the school after rubbish had been scattered nearby. Although Hackney Council had already cleared most of it, the team still collected litter that had escaped from the bins, helping to keep our local clean and tidy! 🌍♻️🧹

Year 2 enjoyed an inspiring to the Victoria and Albert Museum in Kensington, where they explored ceramic and connected their learning to their clay tile topic in class. The children were then given the opportunity to and create their own clay plates, each representing something meaningful and important to them! 🎨🖌️
