Here are just a few things you might notice at a Montessori Pre-School:

1. Children are encouraged to follow their own interests and choose activities that motivate them.

2. Classrooms with children of different ages. This means younger children can learn by observing the older children and the older children develop their confidence by helping and leading.

3. A classroom that is carefully organised so that children can independently and confidently learn. Everything has a purpose and a place and this supports focused learning.

4. Children developing their writing skills and learning how to form letters before they can read, often without even realising.

5. Children doing things for themselves- choosing their own work, tidying, developing real life skills and helping others.
