💊 The Ten Principles of Good Prescribing
Every prescribing decision should be built on a few key checks, from taking an accurate drug history to weighing up individual patient factors, before you even get to writing the prescription itself.
The British Pharmacological Society sets these out clearly, and they're worth revisiting whether you're revising for the exam or writing your first prescription on the ward.

📊 Are you better at prescribing on paper or on screen?
A study in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology found that almost all medical students in the trial made at least one prescribing error, whichever method they used, but the type of error changed depending on whether they were writing on an electronic system or a traditional chart.
Worth practising both, since you may need to switch between the two once you're on the wards.
