On World Autism Day, we celebrate neurodiversity and the unique ways children experience the world. 💙 For autistic children in foster care, understanding, patience, and the right support can make a life-changing difference.

Today we recognise the incredible foster carers who create safe, nurturing homes where children feel valued, supported, and truly belong. With compassion and understanding, they help young people grow in confidence and thrive.

We also want to give a special thank you to the autistic carers in our fostering community. Your lived experience, insight, and empathy bring something truly powerful to the children you support. You help create spaces where young people feel seen, understood, and accepted for who they are.

Together, we can build a more inclusive world where every child feels they belong.

Transgender Awareness Week is a vital reminder that every child deserves to feel seen, safe and celebrated for who they are. 🌈
As a fostering agency, we stand with transgender and gender-questioning children and young people, and the carers who support them.
At Fostering London, we are proud to:
🩵 Support children to embrace and love their differences, making sure they feel safe, heard and validated
🤝 Equip foster carers with training, resources and spaces to learn, reflect and ask questions
🏡 Help create homes where pronouns, names and identities are respected, used correctly and actively learned about
Champion diversity and inclusion, keeping children at the forefront of everything we do so they feel loved, affirmed and given the best possible support for their future.

As a fostering agency, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. Pay attention to the quiet signs: mood changes, isolation, fear of school, sudden drop in confidence, or distress after being online. No child should face bullying alone. 💛

13/11/2025

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported. Bullying can take many forms; physical, verbal, social, or online but together, we can stop it. At Fostering London, we stand with our foster children and families to create environments built on kindness, respect, and care. We’re here to provide support through difficult situations, including bullying and many other challenges, ensuring every child feels protected and understood.

Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported. Bullying can leave deep emotional scars, but with care, consistency, and compassion, foster carers can help children heal and thrive. 💙
During Anti-Bullying Week, we want to highlight the vital role foster carers play in protecting and empowering children who have experienced bullying. Whether it is listening without judgment, building trust, or helping them rebuild confidence, your support makes a meaningful difference.
At Fostering London, we recognise how important it is to notice the signs of bullying and speak up for children who may not yet have the words to express what they’re going through. Together, we can create safe, nurturing homes where every child feels valued, respected, and supported. Things to look out for:
• Unexplained bruises or damaged items
• Frequent headaches or stomach pain
• Changes in eating (skipping meals or overeating)
• Difficulty sleeping or bad dreams
• Falling grades or not wanting to go to school
• Pulling away from friends or activities
• Low confidence or increased sadness
• Talking about self-harm or wanting to run away.

Compassion fatigue can show up as exhaustion, trouble sleeping, irritability, detachment, and loss of motivation. Recognizing the signs is the first step to protecting your wellbeing. This is why it is vital for foster carers to have time for themselves.
