Operating as usual
Play in the Early Years Foundation Stage is the perfect time for children to start forming relationships. They get the chance to get to know one another and learn new social skills. One of the many benefits of play in Early Years is that it gives children a chance to spend time together working towards a common goal.

What age are cylinder blocks for?
Between the ages of 2 and 3.5 years, young children begin sorting and ordering items. These block cylinders take advantage of this sensitive period to introduce products that will teach them the various methods of ordering by height, width and dimension.
Coloring is not only a classic and favorite pastime for children, but it is also a simple activity that helps children to develop cognitively, psychologically, and creatively. It sparks their imagination and gives children and adults alike an opportunity to express themselves.
Thanks so much to our parents feedback this week regarding possible longer opening hours. We have some great news and will share on Friday.
This morning we have been exploring magnetic tiles. We were talking about the shapes that we can create, their colours and things that we can make.
The children have created:

Our Playgroup is run by myself - a qualified primary school teacher and it is a fantastic "first time away from home experience" for your child. I also have 3 playgroup assistants and they have level 5,3 and 2 qualifications in early years childcare. We are all mums and understand that “first time away from home experience” might be difficult for both parents and children. We try to make it as much fun as possible ensuring that our teaching is at very high standard. We follow the Early Years Curriculum and prepare children to take a step in further education (nursery or reception school classes). Our classes are very small, we only accommodate 16-20 children per session. All our sessions are carefully planned and supported by very good quality educational resources. We take into account individual children's needs and where necessary we adjust our topics and teaching. For planning, observations and next steps we use tapestry an online learning journey. We also run mini preparation workshops for children that undertaking prep schools assessments at no further cost.
Please do email us [email protected] to arrange your free taster session.
