My favourite cake trend of 2026 is XL long cakes 😍

From the first moment I saw one, I wanted to make one. So when I got free reign over the dessert spread for this year's Soho House Festival, there was no way I wasn't taking the opportunity to make one.

So, I made two ✌🏾

38 inches long and heavily topped with fresh raspberries. Yum 😋

My favourite thing about them is their versatility.

They're great for birthday parties.

Obviously fab at festivals.

They even work for weddings.

What's not to love???? 💕

To celebrate Good Cake Day turning 10 this year, I have accepted Kunbi O - Founder, Lawyer, Mother, Speaker challenge to come to the front and be more forward facing in my business, so here I am.

Hello 👋🏾 If you're new here my name is Chinelo and I am the founder of Good Cake Day. I've spent the past 41 minutes drafting and redrafting this caption sooooo I am going to go back to basics. Here are 10 things you may or may not know about me in no particular order😜

1. I love being at home. If I show up for your event or meet up with you for any reason, I really love you because my sofa or bed is ALWAYS where I'd rather be 😂

2. I love laughing and making people laugh. I think humour makes life more enjoyable.

3. I take tea and/or coffee as medication. If there is no heat or fatigue, why am I drinking either??? ☕

4. I want to live in China for 18 months at some point in my life

5. The first brownie I tasted was mine. 🍫

6. I LOVE movies.

7. Good Cake Day isn't really about cakes. It's about elevating life's special moments and making people feel special. I would have the same mission if I was selling flip flops.

8. Speaking of flip flops, my name means flip flops I'm Portuguese 🩴

9. My name actually means "God remembers me"

10. Speaking of God, I am a Christian and my faith is how I navigate life with a semblance of sanity ✝️

I first made our Esmeralda Cake over 6 years ago. Since then she has become one of our bestselling designs and I have made her in a plethora of colours - from black and gold to cream and turquoise.

I love the fact that she appeals to a wide demographic as well. From 30th birthday celebrations to 60th birthday parties. Whilst people mostly order her for women, a lot of men love her in black.

On today's episode of pinch me moments, I'm so excited to share that asked me to make red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting in custom branded cupcake boxes for a private screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 👠

The cupcakes included vegan and made without gluten variations to ensure no one no one was left on the Runway 😉

My 6 year old Disney obsessed self would be better giddy to know we've been a supplier since 2024. What a wow!

Devil Wears Prada 2 is out in the cinemas on 1 May.
