Why emailing about playing at to get a dj gig in Ibiza won’t work…

You wouldn’t drop a dm and say can I play a cheeky b2b this weekend, either… 😂

Your profile is losing people before they hear your music.

Someone sees one Reel.

Or one clip.

Or one track post.

Something makes them tap your profile.

And then you have a few seconds.

That’s it.

They are trying to work out:

What do you sound like?
Are you a DJ or producer?
What scene are you in?
What should I listen to first?
Have you got proof?
Do I understand the world around your music?

If your profile is random flyers, old photos, weak pinned posts, no recent music, and a bio that could belong to anyone, they leave.

Not because the music is weak.

Because they could not understand you fast enough.

Go and look at your top three pinned posts.

If they do not show your sound, your world, or your proof, fix one.

Not the whole profile.

One post.

Start there.

Its not about your skill, its about the trust 👀👉

This is why “but I’m a better DJ” isn’t good enough.

Will you help a promoter feel the room?
Do you actually fit the night?
Will you help promote it?

Because getting bookings isn’t just about how good you are behind the decks. It’s about whether a promoter can trust you to be the right fit for their night.

Our Artist Blueprint programme will help you unpack all the secrets to getting bookings…

Which of these obstacles are missing from your profile? Comment the number below ⬇️

Are you sending your demo to the wrong labels?

This is one of the biggest reasons good tracks go nowhere.

You make something strong.

Then you send it to a big batch of labels that do not actually fit the record.

Wrong sound.
Wrong tempo.
Wrong energy.
Wrong scene.
Wrong artists on the label.
Wrong room.

Then nothing comes back and you think the track got rejected.

But sometimes the track was not the issue.

The target was.

A&R is not just asking:

“Is this good?”

They are asking:

“Does this make sense here?”

That is a different question.

Before you send your next demo, pick five labels where the track genuinely belongs.

Not the dream labels.

Not the biggest labels.

The labels where someone could hear it and think:

Yeah, this fits what we release.

Is your DJ gig pitch too easy to ignore?

Being good matters.

Obviously.

Music matters.

Taste matters.

Selection matters.

Reading a room matters.

But if a promoter has never seen you play, heard a recent mix, seen a room react, or understood where you fit, they are still guessing.

And most promoters do not want more guesswork.

They want proof.

A recent mix.

A short clip from a set.

A clear sound.

A reason you fit the night.

A message that shows you actually understand the room.

“Any slots coming up?” is not a pitch.

It is just hope in a DM.

Pick one night you actually fit.

Look at what they book.

Listen to the sound.

Look at the room.

Then send something that makes the decision easier.

Don’t ask like they already know you’re good.

Show enough that they don’t have to guess

Your DJ mix could reach more people.

You’re probably just leaving it in one place.

Most DJs record the mix, upload it, post the link, then move on.

But that mix can do more work.

It can become clips.

Track ID posts.

Artist tags.

YouTube uploads.

Newsletter content.

Promoter follow-ups.

Radio submissions.

Guest swaps.

If the mix shows your taste, it should be helping more people understand what you do.

One upload is not distribution.

It is just one upload.

Where else could your last mix live?
