UCL Greek & Latin The Department of Greek and Latin at UCL is one of the premier Classics departments in the UK.

It offers study programmes at the BA, MA and PhD level, produces high-quality research and is keen to share its expertise with the general public. UCL Greek & Latin has some 15 permanent members of staff as well as part-time staff and postgraduate researchers with diverse backgrounds and a variety of research interests. Congratulations to Professor Miriam Leonard!

Congratulations to Professor Miriam Leonard (UCL Greek and Latin) for being appointed as a new British Academy Fellow ✨️

Professor Leonard's research explores the intellectual history of classics in modern European thought from the 18th century to the present. She has a particular interest in the relationship between ancient Greek literature and philosophy and modern critical theory, psychoanalysis and feminism.
