Huge congratulations to Muntham House School on their successful accreditation of the Quality in Careers Standard earlier this term. ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰

Led ably by Steven Hellyer and Laura du Vergier the portfolio is one of the most comprehensive we've seen for a special school in a while and is testament to the hard work and commitment of the staff team to ensure the students are given the best careers information and guidance to enable them to move confidently on to their next step. The programme is entirely student focused and very flexible to meet the needs of every child who attends. A particular strength was the work experience programme- so varied and engaging.

Excellent work all round. Well done to all!

Thrilled to announce that the Investor in Careers Primary Award has today successfully achieved national endorsement by the Quality in Careers Consortium.

The Primary award recognises excellence in:

๐Ÿ”ธdeveloping pupils' thinking about self, careers, learning and the world of work
๐Ÿ”ธbuilding pupil's self-confidence, raising their aspirations and broadening their horizons
๐Ÿ”ธpreparing primary age pupils for the next stage of their education

Career-related learning at primary is not about helping children choose their future job, it's about laying the foundations of self-awareness, curiosity and self-development. Longitudinal studies show that pupils start to adopt stereotypes based on gender, ethnicity and social background at a young age. These stereotypes can go on to influence career choice and aspirations.

We can work with individual schools or primaries within a Trust setting. To find out more just get in touch!
