Happy World Book Day from Monkey Puzzle! 📚✨

Our little readers had the most magical day bringing their favourite stories to life. We crafted Paddington made from rice, followed the yellow brick road from The Wizard of Oz, created sparkling BFG dream jars, and explored a Superworm soil tray.

The fun didn’t stop there — we met Goldilocks and the Three Bears, discovered the Gruffalo, and enjoyed a colourful Hungry Caterpillar sensory tray.

A wonderful day of stories, creativity, and imagination! 🌈📖

Today our nursery was full of magical characters as the children came dressed as their favourite book characters! From brave heroes to storybook princesses and everything in between, it’s been a day full of imagination, creativity and a love of reading.

Our Pre-School had a wonderful trip to the park as part of our new concept, Seasonal Changes 🌸🌿

The children explored nature using their five senses — listening to the birds, feeling the breeze, spotting signs of spring, smelling the fresh air, and even crunching through the grass under their feet. We brought our learning to life by acting out We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, swishing through the grass and splashing through the “river” together 🐻🌊

Our Baby Room children joined the adventure too and loved gazing at the beautiful spring flowers and taking in all the new sights and sounds 🌼💛

Learning, exploring, and making memories together in the sunshine ☀️✨

The children at Monkey Puzzle Eltham have been celebrating Ramadan Mubarak in the most creative way 🌙✨

Using beautiful star and moon symbols, they made thoughtful pictures while learning about kindness, reflection, and togetherness. We love seeing their creativity shine as bright as the Ramadan night sky ⭐🌙

Celebrating St David’s Day the Monkey Puzzle way! 💛🌼

Our little learners at Monkey Puzzle Eltham have been getting creative with beautiful daffodil crafts, sensory trays and colourful paintings inspired by Wales’ national flower. 🌼✨ From pasta petals to paintbrush masterpieces, it’s been a day full of imagination, exploration and lots of yellow and green! 💚💛

Today the children celebrated Chinese New Year the year of the horse with a wonderful range of activities. They explored rice and noodles during sensory play, enjoying the different textures as they scooped, poured, mixed, and discovered new ways to play.

At lunchtime, the celebration continued as the children enjoyed delicious longevity noodles served with pak choi and a variety of colourful vegetables. There were lots of happy faces, curious conversations, and even a few proud noodle-slurpers!

It was a joyful day filled with learning, creativity, and festive fun. 🧧🐉🍜✨

Pancake Day was full of excitement. The children spent the morning exploring pancake-themed activities!

All day long, the children kept talking about the special treat coming later. The nursery chef was busy whisking, pouring, and flipping, making sure there were enough warm, delicious pancakes for everyone to enjoy at tea time.🥞💛✨

For Children’s Mental Health Week, we focused on big feelings in little ways 💙

We explored emotions through blowing bubbles to help regulate feelings, creating facial expressions with loose parts, sharing positive affirmations, drawing self-portraits and exploring sensory trays with emotion colours 🌈

We also made kind flowers about our friends, talked about what makes us happy, created hug paintings and used pipettes to colour different facial expressions 🫧🎨

To celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week, we wore our comfiest pyjamas to nursery—because feeling safe, cosy and relaxed really matters 🧠✨

For Children’s Mental Health Week our toddlers & pre-schoolers enjoyed a calming spa day with their besties—painted nails, foot spas, gentle massages and lots of relaxation 🫧✨

🎉 8 YEARS of Monkey Puzzle Eltham! 🎉

What a way to celebrate! 🥳 We marked our 8th birthday with lots of yummy doughnuts 🍩, a special thank-you stand for our amazing parents to help themselves to sweet treats 💛, and plenty of fun activities for the children 🐒🎨

A huge THANK YOU to all our families for supporting us over the years — we couldn’t do it without you. Here’s to the memories we’ve made and many more to come! ✨💙
