The Art Room is officially OPEN again! 🖌️🌈

There’s something so special about seeing a space come alive with children’s creativity. Every drawing, painting, collage and little masterpiece tells its own story.

This year we’re going to EXPLORE. EXPERIMENT. CREATE. BELONG. ❤️

As an Art Educator, one of my favourite things is watching children walk into the art room with an idea and leave feeling proud of something they created themselves.

New school year.

I DID IT! 📚🎨🌈

What started as an idea in my head has become a REAL children’s book.

As an art educator, I’ve spent years watching children discover the magic of colour, artists and their own creativity and I wanted to create something that could take that experience beyond my classroom.

So I created Mimi’s Art Adventures with Lola. 💕

A children’s art adventure where little artists can discover famous artists, explore the elements of art and, most importantly, feel excited about creating.

Our first adventure, Colours Can Dance, introduces children to the wonderful world of Alma Thomas and COLOUR. 🌈🎨

Hey everyone! 🎨🌈📚

I’ve been quietly working on something very special, and I’m finally ready to share it with you. 🥹✨

Those who know me know how much I love working with children and how passionate I am about art, creativity and education.

Over the years teaching art, I noticed there weren’t many children’s books that took little ones on an adventure through the elements of art, while introducing them to inspiring artists and creative techniques.

So… I decided to create one. ❤️

Sometimes I forget that throughout the year I’ve had the privilege of teaching and inspiring over 400 children through my role at school and my own creative sessions. Looking back, I honestly don’t know where the strength came from, except by God’s grace. He gave me the creativity, patience, wisdom and passion to pour into so many young lives. It hasn’t always been easy, but every smile, every masterpiece and every child’s growing confidence has made it all worthwhile. As this school year ends, I’m filled with gratitude and excited for the amazing opportunities God has ahead. Here’s to new beginnings. ✨🤍
