The importance of a grand plié 🩰

Grand plié is so much more than simply bending deeply through the knees. It develops strength, control and mobility through the legs and hips, while encouraging dancers to maintain correct alignment and turnout.

It also teaches dancers to move with control through the full range of motion, building the foundations needed for jumps, turns and more advanced ballet vocabulary.

At Power & Poise Ballet, we believe in developing strength alongside grace, creating dancers who are both technically precise and artistically expressive. ✨

A lovely milestone for our Mids Division - trying pointe shoes for the first time. 🩰

Just over a year ago, this student joined Power & Poise Ballet as a complete beginner. Through consistency, dedication, and a love of learning, she has made wonderful progress.

A true example that practice really does make progress. ✨

We are proud to support every student’s unique ballet journey.
