Bound 1/2 squat, one of my favourite poses to grove on into at the moment. The chest opening, the hip opening, the grounding through the feet and the pelvic floor lift reminder are all pieces of what my body is asking for and I’m all ears!!

This was clearly taken in the morning light, during my home practice but I wanted to share for those who might benefit ❤️ For the mamas and papas who spent last night (or day) leaning over the side of a crib (or feeding, picking up toys, holding tiny little hands while they walk around the sofa 20x in a row etc)!! 😴 Supported fish is a dream 🐟
Start with you backside right up against the bottom of the bolster or blanket (if a bolster is too high and feels uncomfortable or you don’t have one)
Lie back with the back and head supported down the midline. Place the arms to the sides or overhead (just be mindful to move the arms closer to the hips if there is any electrical sensation or pins and needles) legs can be straight or place the soles of the feet and gently drop the knees out wide.
Chill for 5 mins (or whatever you can get!!)

Excited to start postnatal yoga this week. I've learned so much through studying with the amazing women of YogaBirth and from the books they've recommended. And of course, always have to give at least a bit of credit to Ross Watson Chiropractic for letting me pick his brain endlessly on anatomy, alignment and, on this one in particular, the referred pain patterns that can be the cause of some of the nasty headaches us mums are prone to getting. (And a little credit to my lovely wee man for being such an amazing model😍) I cannot wait to share with the mums of Sevenoaks 😘

Imagine you had the time to take a relaxing mini retreat to unwind and restore...
In my final Yin Workshop before starting my indefinite leave from teaching in London, we will be exploring the possibility of consciously unwinding some of that tension that sits in your back, your neck, your hips (or wherever else it may be hiding) so that you can restore your body so that you can rest more comfortably and move with greater ease. If you struggle with restlessness in daily life, savasana or in your meditation practice, the practices of yin yoga, deep breath work and meditation we will be using in this workshop will help you learn how to create a little more peace within so you can start to enjoy stillness with intention

Sometimes the best thing to do is to just sit back and watch it all float around the surface from deeper within, you'd be amazed at how much depth you have to settle safely into
