🎉 GCSE RESULTS 2026 | WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate another year of excellent GCSE results at La Retraite!

📈 Results at Grade 4+ and Grade 5+ increased across all subjects, with particularly strong outcomes in English and Maths.

🌟 In Religious Education, an incredible 39 students achieved Grade 8 or above!

These results are a wonderful reflection of the hard work, determination and dedication of our students, supported by their families and our fantastic staff.

🎶 Harmony Across Continents

Our Tour Choir students had an unforgettable experience in Ghana, sharing their music, embracing a new culture and building lasting friendships through the universal language of music.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful students and staff at Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO), Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast, and Wesley Girls High School (WGHS), Cape Coast for welcoming us so warmly and hosting our students during this incredible journey.

From performances and shared experiences to new friendships and cultural exchanges, this was truly a trip to remember. ✨

A new picture book, published by King’s College London, shares moving stories of language, identity, and migration through the voices of young author-illustrators.

We are especially proud that our pupil Almudena is featured as one of the youngest contributors among eight talented young authors and illustrators.

The project is part of a wider programme supporting English learning for migrant communities, with a clear aim: to raise awareness of the language barriers many people face as they build new lives in the UK.

A reminder of the power of children’s voices - and how storytelling can help build bridges between experiences.
