Is a Blog set up by a newish Teacher who wants to share as much positive teacher talk, as possible. This is it's accompanying page.
Right on the Board came from a very successful page where teachers from Western Australia came to share resources and ideas. while i had founded the Page and was very proud of it i was coming to realise that it was limiting the amount of things i could talk about and people to find and so a Blog was born www.rightontheboard.com.

It’s Twosday tomorrow on Tuesday!
22/2/22 or 22.02.2022!
Too fun a pun and learning opportunity to pass up!
Here are some ideas to do with your class-
🔸 Practise counting in 2’s
🔸 Work on doubles facts
🔸 List things that come in twos (eyes, shoes, earrings, Twix etc)
🔸 Recite two times tables
🔸 Lesson on homophones- two, to and too
🔸 Work in pairs all day
🔸 Search with a partner for 2’s around the room
🔸Create partnered challenges
🔸Work with 2D shapes (draw a picture, look at properties etc)
🔸 Read two books
🔸Create a “Mr Squiggle” style drawing from the number 2.
🔸 Write a list of 2 letter words/ 2 syllable words/ compound words
🔸 Find idioms that feature the word two
🔸Do 22 brain break exercises (star jumps, sit ups, high knees etc)
🔸Write about what you think you’ll be doing or what life will be like when you are 22 or in 22 years.

The first 4 books in Unit 1 are FREE to download. They are a great resource for young beginner readers because they are interactive. When the child presses on a word she/he can hear it sounded out. A great way to model precise pronounciation of sounds and how to sound out words.
This resource can only be downloaded onto Apple devices.
