Is there a family member who gets low when the clocks go back? It is estimated that up to 2.4% of the UK population experience Seasonal Affective Disorder, typically triggered by the loss of light and the start of winter. Schoolchildren are part of this statistic, which may be due to shorter days combined with changes to winter timetables including less time outdoors. Neurodiverse students can struggle more at this time of year too. But what can you do?

October is the month we focus on Dyslexia, with the international awareness day falling on the 8th. Dyslexia is a multi-faceted condition, presenting in many different ways that can morph over time.
