Huge congratulations to Will on achieving a Distinction in his Grade 4 Musical Theatre singing exam! 🌟

Will started online lessons with me from his home in Scotland back in October 2024, and it’s been such a joy to watch his progress ever since.
Through his fantastic work ethic, positive attitude, and consistent commitment to learning, he has made incredible progress in both his singing and performance skills. This result is so well deserved, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything he’s achieved.

Keep doing what you’re doing, Will – I can’t wait to see where your singing journey takes you next! 🎭🎶

Another poignant song from St Martin-in-the-Fields’ Palm Sunday Passion Drama service. This is “On the Willows” from the musical Godspell - such a beautiful and devastating song to sing. ✨

After performing our regular gig with last night in London Bridge, it was so lovely to be back teaching my Saturday morning students today - especially on such a beautiful sunny day ☀️

With my first student, who is working towards their Grade 4 ABRSM Musical Theatre exam at the end of the month, we focused on refining one of his songs, ‘Dentist’ from Little Shop of Horrors. It’s such a fun character piece with spoken sections, and he’s really bringing it to life!

I also worked on ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift with a lovely new student to the studio, who is already showing potential. It’s such a fun song - one I also sing and play keys for with Hosen Stage Band.

We also started exploring ‘Naughty’ from Matilda the Musical, which is a fantastic choice for young to intermediate singers ⭐

I love working across such a wide range of repertoire - from pop to musical theatre, and also classical with other students.

Currently preparing all my JAM Theatre individual singing students for their concert on May 9th in Marlow 🎶

It’s been really lovely seeing the progress they’ve made so far, and how much more confident they’re becoming each week.

Can’t wait to see them all perform ✨

So loved singing “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from Jesus Christ Superstar for St Martin-in-the-Fields’ Passion Drama on 29 March 2026 ✨

This was my favourite song to sing in the whole drama, as it beautifully blends a traditional musical theatre style with hints of a more classical sound.

I’ve known this song since I was a child, so it felt really special to return to it as an adult and bring a deeper emotional understanding to the piece.
