Fantastic atmosphere at Connaught School for Girls this evening for our College Roadshow. 16 colleges and sixth forms came to the event. Fantastic turnout from all of our year 11 students.

We are a highly successful secondary school for girls aged 11-16 in Leytonstone, London.
In 1932 the school opened as Connaught Road senior girls school with a junior mixed department. The reopened school was the only Leyton school to be built between the two world wars under the Leyton School Board 1929–32 reorganisation programme. The junior mixed department closed in 1948 when the school became a secondary (modern) school for girls, taking over its adjoining premises. In 1960–1 the

Final week of the summer holidays coming to an end today. We welcome back students next week, so make sure you have sorted uniform and equipment and are refreshed and ready to go! Year7 start Wednesday morning and all other students in years 8-11 start at 2.00pm Wednesday.

Students had a treat this week when they had the pleasure of meeting Queen Camilla at a Royal engagement event with Mulberry Schools trust. Camilla attended the opening ceremony of a new school in Wapping. Six students who worked on the ‘Global Girl Leading’ project attended.

We wish our history students well as they embark on a trip to Ypres! They left this morning with Mr Klemenic, Ms
Hickes, Ms El Khandari and Mr Desborough at 5:30am - a very early start! Thanks to the staff for committing their time to go on this trip.

Well done to our Year 10 students who were asked to create their own sustainable community for Geography. They created a 3D model of their community and presented it to their peers and class teacher. We are so proud of the effort, time and the quality of the work!
