π¬ βBecoming the first in my family to earn a masterβs means becoming a role model for girls like me.β
Effie Atienoβs journey from Kenya to UCL was made possible through The Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship and sheβs used that opportunity to not only complete her degree, but to lead with purpose.
Supported by her lecturers at The Bartlett Development Planning Unit, Effie is now focused on empowering girls in her community and championing access to education.
A powerful story of perseverance, progress and possibility.
