The International Association for the Study of Arabia The IASA is a charitable organisation that exists to advance public knowledge through the promotion

The IASA exists to advance public knowledge through the promotion of research relating to the Arabian Peninsula, in particular its history, antiquities, archaeology, ethnography, languages, literature, art, culture, customs, geography, geology and natural history. It does this through the raising of money, organisation of events, supporting of research and publications. The IASA aims to act as a focal point and advocate for the study of Arabia's cultural heritage. Specifically the IFSA:
- oversees the Seminar for Arabian Studies
- has taken on the activities of the previous Society for Arabian Studies including the awarding of grants, publication of the Monographs Series and yearly Bulletin, as well as the organisation of the lecture series and other events. The IASA (formerly the BFSA) was created in 2010 by the merger of the Society for Arabian Studies and the Seminar for Arabian Studies.
