🏠💙 A Huge Thank You to Our Wonderful PTA!

We’re so excited to share that our Early Years playground has a brand new play cottage — all thanks to the incredible generosity and hard work of our PTA! 🏡✨

The children are already loving their new space for imaginative play, and it’s a fantastic addition to their play and learning environment. 💛

Our PTA’s dedication and fundraising make such a real difference to our school — we truly couldn’t do it without them. 🙌

If you’d like to get involved or lend a helping hand, we’d love to hear from you! Please email [email protected]

Memes are everywhere - quick, witty, and wildly shareable. For many young people they are more than jokes, they’re a way to connect, express themselves and interpret the world. But behind the humour, there can be risks. This guide helps adults understand how memes work and why they matter to young people today.

From misinformation to insensitive jokes and permanent digital footprints, this guide highlights the potential pitfalls of meme culture. With practical tips on digital literacy, empathy and open conversations, it empowers parents and educators to help children navigate online humour in a thoughtful, safe, and respectful way.

❤️ Morden Primary Stands United Against Racism

Morden Primary turned into a sea of red as our pupils and staff joined together to support Show Racism the Red Card.

We are proud to be a school that promotes equality, inclusion, and respect for all, with a clear message that racism has no place in our school or our community. ✊

Thank you to all our families who have already donated via ParentPay — your support helps fund the UK’s leading anti-racism education charity. There’s still time to donate, and we’ll be announcing our total next week. ❤️

Together, we are stronger. Together, we stand united against racism.

🌞✨ Happy Monday, Morden!

A brand-new week means new chances to learn, grow, and shine. 🌈

Whether you’re practising your times tables, sharing a kind word with a friend, or trying something new in class — remember:

💬 “Small steps every day lead to big achievements.”

Let’s make this week full of curiosity, kindness, and courage. 💛

After half term we will have a new school dinner menu.

• If your child already has school dinners, they will automatically continue with school meals after half term – you don’t need to do anything.

• If your child normally brings a packed lunch and you would like to switch to school dinners, please email Mrs Cockett at [email protected] by Monday 13th October.

Please note: All school meals are ordered in advance, so changes can only be made at the start of each half term.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

With new kits, updated squads and refined gameplay, EA FC 26 brings the thrill of top-tier football to living rooms once again. While it continues to offer family-friendly fun in modes like Kick-Off and Career, the ongoing popularity of Ultimate Team – where players spend money to build fantasy squads – brings a mix of excitement and risks.

Children can encounter issues such as gambling-like mechanics, voice chat with strangers, and potential exposure to scams. This guide breaks down the game’s most important features, highlights the key risks to be aware of, and shares practical advice for helping young players stay safe while gaming and interacting online.

COATS IN SCHOOL
As the weather can be quite unpredictable at this time of year, please ensure your
child brings a coat to school every day. We aim to take the children outside for
play and learning whenever possible, even in light rain, so having a coat will help
keep them warm and dry.
