As we are approaching 24th of February, I wanted to give tribute to the resilience of Ukrainian children.

More than half of Ukraine’s (7.5 million) children have been displaced. And as parents we know, two years in a life of a child matters so much. The impact of the war on their physical and psychological well-being, on their education and national identity, cannot be overstated. It is essential that we understand the issues they are facing and we do what we can to mitigate the negative effects of this war.

I was very fortunate to partner with Human Rights Watch, Renegate Stories Studios and St Mary's Ukrainian School London, to host a special event to watch the powerful documentary Ukraine’s Stolen Children (directed by Shahida Tulaganova, followed by an engaging and important discussion panel. We were also deeply moved by a heart-warming performance by the children's choir of St. Mary's Ukrainian School.

Thank you once again to all the participants for making it such a memorable evening.

Join us for this online talk on being an author with Catherine Bruton, a multi-award-winning children's author and former St Paul's Girls' School teacher. Young aspiring authors are welcome!

Ms. Bruton will be interviewed by Dr. Patrick, an English teacher at SPGS, as well as one of the Paulinas, a current VIIth pupil. We will discuss Ms Bruton’s recent books, 'No Ballet Shoes in Syria,' 'Another Twist in the Tale,' and 'Following Frankenstein,' and we will be open to questions from the audience.

We kindly request a donation of £10 to join the talk, and all proceeds will go towards means-tested bursaries for talented students, providing them with opportunities they might not have had otherwise. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to your participation in the talk.

Families4Peace (UK Registered Charity 1198873) invites Ukrainian children (aged 6-12 years old) living in Camden for a baking class with Agnieszka, founder of RiseRise & Shine Bakingndly hosted by the cooking studio at . Please register in advance as places are limited to 12 children.

While the children are cooking, we will offer teas/coffees to Ukrainian women living in London to meet each other and share information on settling in Camden. Women without children are also welcome (please choose an adult ticket when registering).

How do you get your Mojo back? Getting your momentum back can sometimes be as simple as just starting again and keeping at it. We know however that when it comes to the emotional guilt of returning back to work it can be much more than this!

In the talk this Thursday , will be sharing with you the core 3 pillars of what she calls the 21st century mum. You should come out of this talk feeling inspired but also with a better idea of what your priorities are as a working mum.
