ALWAYS control the control (nullify it).

Pressure points location and accuracy needs to be practiced to the point it comes naturally to you and you can pin point through peripheral rather than direct sight.

Energy needs to SOFT in order to pe*****te, this is where most people fail, they tense or try and use strength, pointless, doesn't work.

This is where daily practice of soft energy generation needs to be done and mastered, to be able to stay calm and relaxed under duress is the most difficult aspect of ALL combat.

Panic alarms... are pretty crap tbh. They are not very lout and usually make a boring beeping sound akin to a the alarm clock on your watch going off, at best they sound like a rythmic annoying house or car alarm going off in the back ground. Not really something that scares off an attacker or more importantly, gets any passerbys attention.

A good quality whistle is a different story! Designed for high volume, high pitched, long distance sound, they can be used to create erratic sounds which can be heard far away, get near by persons attention immediately and cause more panic in an attacker, because a whistle sound has a cultural association with AUTHORITY! Be it the Police or a Football Referee!

I have 20 free whistles to give away to anyone who will do the seva of spreading this message :-) I'll even cover the postage!

Upping the Gun Disarm Game, Elusive Style.

Replica gun, same controls and mechanics as a real gun, but fires plastic bullets.

Lots of practice and evolved the disarm mechanics to make it even easier, without the need for grip or strength ✅

Calm, smooth, understanding wrist/hand mechanics, understanding the pistol, element of suprise and smooth transition = increased confidence and probability of success.

Our prayers are with the victim of this evil attack. We do ardaas that the culprits are found and given maximum punishment.

Thought it may be useful to do a small video to help ALL sisters out there to think about safety in their day to day routine.

This conversation has been a day one conversation for Elusive students over the last 15 years. There is MUCH more to self defence than techniques/fighting.
