A truly outstanding body of work from our students over the last half term and holiday workshops.
From expressive pastel landscapes to detailed observational printmaking, there has been a real focus on exploration, mark-making and thoughtful use of materials. It’s been a joy to see such confidence developing across so many different approaches.
Our summer holiday workshops begin from 13th July. Each session explores a range of techniques, encouraging students to slow down, look closely, and work across a variety of mediums.
Bookings are now open.

We recently discovered the amazing drawings of who beautifully captured a scene in Modern that is also part of our Tour & Draw sessions lead by our tutor !
In this section of the tour our budding artists are inspired by Matisses TheSnail to create their own animal using collage. These tours introduce the world of contemporary art alongside developing sketching, observation, art history and communication skills!
Recommended to all wanting to learn more about art, and we have our next coming up on March 8th at with some more to come and spaces left! ✨

The many faces of Marie Antoinette ✨
A highlight of our Little Leonardos work – and a project that has inspired the whole studio.
Our Little Leonardos have had a wonderful time creating these beautiful mixed-media portraits, inspired by the Marie Antoinette: Fashion exhibition at the V&A.
Using paint, pastels and collage, the children explored texture, colour and layering to bring their portraits to life. Along the way, they also learned about portraiture from this period and discovered more about Marie Antoinette and her fascinating life.
We are so proud of their creativity and focus – well done, Little Leonardos!

To celebrate the upcoming summer exhibition at Tate Modern, our Saturday Advanced groups explored the powerful portraits of Frida Kahlo.
Frida painted 55 self-portraits, using her art to express identity, strength and emotion. We looked closely at her techniques and materials before creating our own mixed media collage portraits.
So many fantastic and thoughtful results 💛
We also talked about collective nouns inspired by Frida and unanimously decided on “a bravery of Fridas”. We absolutely love that.

Our Tirzah Garwood pieces are progressing so beautifully.
Inspired by the fantastic exhibition at , our Little Leonardos have been discovering the immense talent of Tirzah — an artist so often overshadowed by her husband, Eric Ravilious.
Dulwich continues to inspire us by shining a light on extraordinarily talented female artists. They’re currently showcasing the stunning Danish painter Anna Ancher.
Our 6+ group have absolutely loved learning about Tirzah, the time period, her compositions, materials, and techniques.
We can’t wait to reveal the final pieces next week… they’re going to be wonderful!
More fabulous themes coming for all our classes next term — stay tuned! 🌟
