Early in my career, I experienced firsthand what it feels like to be torn down by a leader.

And I remember the impact it had - not just on performance…but on the way I saw myself.

It chipped away at confidence.

It made me question my voice, my value, my place.

And it was in those moments I made a quiet commitment:

I would be someone who rises people up, not breaks them down.

Because leadership isn’t a title.

It’s how you make people feel… and who they believe they can become because of you.

We don’t rise by diminishing others
We rise by elevating them.

✨ Where are you choosing to lift someone today?

Most leaders don’t realise they have an instinctive way of leading.
They believe they're thinking logically, unaware of what's driving those thoughts.

But under pressure, something more automatic takes over.
Your capacity to lead is defaults in moments of pressure.

That’s what this framework shows 👇
Each instinct comes with:
→ A natural strength
→ A shadow pattern under pressure

The challenge isn’t the instinct itself.
It’s when it operates unconsciously.

Because that’s when:
Clarity becomes control
Stability becomes resistance
Insight becomes overthinking
Connection becomes over-accommodation

The goal isn’t to remove your instinct.
It’s to recognise it… and elevate it.
Because real leadership change doesn’t happen by adding more tools.
It happens when you understand how you naturally show up, especially under pressure.

👇 If you’re curious which instinct you default to,
comment INSTINCT and I’ll send you the link to explore it further.

You don’t rise to your leadership training, you default to your instincts!

Under pressure, it shows up like this 👇

👉 Over-checking

👉 Stepping in too much

👉 Delaying decisions that are already clear

Not because you’re incapable but because your instincts are trying to keep you safe.

Most leadership challenges aren’t skill issues.

They’re pattern issues.

The moment you see the pattern…you stop being led by it.

Not all tension is creative.
I realised how often I performed from frustration.
And it works....maybe you have noticed that in yourself or others?

But frustration-based tension says:
“This shouldn’t be happening.” "I have to do better"
Creative tension says:
“This is reality. And here’s the vision.”
(P.S no beat up)

One pushes against.
One builds toward.

Leaders — when you feel pressure, ask yourself:
Am I reacting to reality?
Or creating from it?

There’s a big difference. What do you notice is your fuel of choice?

Imposter syndrome is more about identity lag then fear!

It shows up as over-checking.

Overthinking.

Delaying work that’s already good enough.

Not because you’re incapable

BUT because your inner authority hasn’t caught up with your level of responsibility.

The solution isn’t more proof.

It’s integration with your new level of operation.

Most new managers think leadership is about answers.

26/11/2025

“Let me share a different perspective on ‘privilege’…” Ever heard you someone say “you have a privileged life.”
I’ve heard that a few times.
And every time I do, I pause - not in offence, but in reflection.
Yes, some people are born with structural advantages.
That’s real.
But what many call “privilege” is often something else entirely:
a life intentionally built through choice, resilience, and self-leadership.
For example I didn’t grow up with wealth.
Nothing was handed to me.
What I have, I created, one decision at a time.
Privilege isn’t just what you’re given.
It’s what you activate.
Circumstances shape the start.
Agency shapes the story.
✨ Your turn: What does “privilege” mean to you?

✨ Stop Pushing Against Life - Start Moving With It ✨

Do you ever feel like you’re pushing, being met with one block after another?
Not because you’re doing anything wrong but because you’re doing everything alone, on autopilot, or without a clear direction.

We call it “struggle,” but what is struggle really?
Struggle is friction.

It’s what you feel when your energy, actions, and decisions aren’t aligned with who you truly are or where you actually want to go.
It’s the weight you carry when every day blurs into the next, and you’re hustling without a sense of purpose.

But here’s the truth no one tells you:
✅Life isn’t meant to be pushed.
✅It’s meant to be partnered with.

And the moment you stop fighting the current and start creating a current of your own everything changes.
Put simply tension seeks resolution and if you hold the outcome then the current moves in that direction.

That’s where designing your year becomes powerful💥

Not as a list of resolutions you’ll forget by February.
But as an intentional act of saying:
“I choose my direction. I choose my pace. I choose my life.”

When you do that, struggle becomes clarity.
Chaos becomes movement.
And the year stops happening to you and starts happening for you.

This is your invitation and your reminder that you don’t have to keep pushing.

It’s time to align.
It’s time to design.
It’s time to claim your year before it claims you.

✨ Join It’s Your Year and build the year you’re actually meant to live.
Your next chapter doesn’t start someday.
It starts the moment you decide.

Are you ready?

⚡ Examples of Powerful Incantations ⚡

In the last two posts, I shared what incantations are and how to create your own. Today, I want to give you a taste of some that have inspired leaders, changemakers, and visionaries.

Why? Because sometimes hearing the words of others stirs something in us. It reminds us that language, when embodied, has the power to transform not only the speaker, but everyone who hears it.

1. Tony Robbins “I am the voice. I will lead, not follow. I will believe, not doubt. I will create, not destroy.”
This is one of the most famous incantations, born from Tony’s commitment to rise above his circumstances. Spoken with full intensity, it became a declaration of destiny.

2. Nelson Mandela “I never lose. I either win or learn.”
Though often quoted as an affirmation, Mandela embodied this as a lived incantation. These words carried him through decades of imprisonment, shaping his resilience and leadership.

3. Maya Angelou “And still, I rise.”
Simple, direct, and electric. Maya’s words resonate as an incantation of strength, dignity, and unstoppable spirit.

4. My Own - see the graphic.
This incantation calls me to rise into the energy and presence I want to bring to life and leadership.

✨ Here’s the key: it’s not just the words, it’s the embodiment. These phrases become powerful incantations because they are spoken, felt, and lived with conviction.

💡 Imagine the difference if you spoke your incantation with that same intensity, every day.

👉 Which of these resonates most with you? Or better yet - what’s an incantation you’re ready to live by? Share it below and let’s spark the energy together.

25/09/2025

In my last post, I shared that an incantation is more than words spoken, it’s words embodied. It’s language that stirs your body, heart, and mind into alignment with who you are becoming.

But how do you actually create one? Here’s a simple framework you can use today:

1. Start with Truth
An incantation isn’t about “faking it till you make it.” It must be rooted in a truth you want to embody - even if it’s still emerging.
Ask yourself: What do I need to remember or claim about myself right now?

2. Make it Active & Personal
Use strong, present-tense language that declares, not questions.
Examples:
“I am unstoppable.” "I shine the light"
“I create impact with every step I take.”
“I lead with energy, compassion, and honour.”
"Energy flows through me"

3. Engage Your Physiology
Words alone aren’t enough. Stand tall, move your body, use your voice. The more emotion you bring, the deeper the incantation imprints in your nervous system.

4. Repeat with Intensity
Repetition builds muscle memory, physically and neurologically. Speak it daily, with energy, until it becomes part of you.

5. Anchor the State
Notice how your body feels when you declare your incantation. That emotional state becomes your anchor. This is a place you can return to anytime you need to lead, rise, or reset.

🌟 Your Turn 🌟
If you’re ready, take a few minutes today to create your own incantation using this framework.

👉 Then share it below. You never know—your words might be the spark someone else needs to rise.

Creating impact doesn’t simply ask for intention - it demands it. Like a sailor charting a course, we set our destination, navigate the seas, and learn to harness the winds of change.

Of course, it’s easy to be blown off course. I’ve experienced that myself, and perhaps you have too. Yet it is the rough seas that shape the most skilled sailors - not only at sea, but in life.

True mastery isn’t just about skills or strategy. It’s about the beingness you bring: your energy, resonance, and presence. That’s what helps you navigate the life.
And yet, many leaders get stuck in the “how.” They focus on steps and tactics, only to find themselves circling the same patterns. That’s when a deeper tool is needed.

Recently, I was invited to help leaders prepare a talk on incantations. Many assumed it was a trick to hype yourself up before a big event. But the truth is: incantations are far more profound.

Cambridge defines incantation as “the saying of words believed to have a magical effect when spoken or sung.”

Here’s how I see it:
→ 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 often fall short because they remain a mental exercise, what I call “mental game" where you are battling to win.
→ 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, however, stir the soul. They call deep into your body, heart, and mind. They awaken truth, electrify your being, and anchor you into who you are becoming.

When spoken with emotion, movement, and repetition, incantations don’t just echo in the mind, they reshape who you are at your core - recoding your nervous system.
Tony Robbins often shares how his own incantation “I am the voice” became a force that reshaped his destiny. That is the power of language, fully lived.

So I ask you: What words, when spoken with conviction, could become your incantation?

Words that not only remind you who you are but demand you step into who you are meant to be.
💡 Reflect on it today. And if you don’t yet have your own incantation, start here: choose words that stir your energy, a way you would like to be in the world (even if it is not fully expressed right now). Make a list, feel it and play with crafting yours.

👉 And stay tuned for the next post. I will be sharing mine at the end.
