Yesterday, every pupil from Nursery to Year 6 had their artwork proudly displayed in a gallery-style exhibition, showcasing the imagination, skill and artistic development nurtured throughout the year.
Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make the event so special. We are incredibly proud of our young artists!

π€ OHS Takes the Main Stage
Our Year 3β6 pupils shone on the main stage at the Bedford Park Festival Green Days, delighting the audience with a wonderful showcase of musical talent. From choir performances and year group songs to soloists and ensembles, it was a joyful celebration of music and community.
A huge thank you to the Bedford Park Festival, all the parents and families who came along to support the event, and special thanks to Mr Hayes for his outstanding work with our young musicians.

π What a buzz there was at this yearβs Spelling Bee!
Last week, our finalists wowed us with an exceptional display of concentration, confidence and spelling prowess as they tackled the final round of the 2026 competition.
β¨ KS1: Every finalist delivered a flawless performance, spelling every word correctly and earning their winnersβ badges β an incredible achievement!
β¨ Lower KS2: Our Year 3 and 4 finalists took on some particularly tricky spellings with determination and courage. Congratulations to Oliver (Year 3) and Stefan (Year 4), who spelt every word put before them with calm, confident delivery.
β¨ Upper KS2: The competition was fierce, with several rounds needed to find our winners. A huge well done to Finn (Year 5) and Lanna (Year 6), who showed remarkable tenacity and skill throughout.
We are incredibly proud of all our participants for embracing the challenge and giving it their very best. Congratulations to everyone involved β we canβt wait for next yearβs competition! πππ

Last week, our Year 3 pupils had an unforgettable adventure at Sayers Croft Outdoor Learning Centre!
From orienteering and shelter building to pond dipping, wildlife spotting and campfire fun, pupils embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and teamwork. The trip was full of discovery, laughter and opportunities to build confidence, independence and lasting memories. β¨

Our Early Years pupils braved the weather and enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day filled with energy, determination and smiles! π
From obstacle courses, football β½, sprints and hurdles to egg-and-spoon races π₯, sack races and even a wellie throw , every child gave their best and showed incredible resilience throughout the morning.
We are so proud of our young athletes and the enthusiasm, teamwork and perseverance they demonstrated.

Today, our pupils took part in a fantastic camouflage workshop.
They explored images to see how many hidden fish they could spot, then created their own sea creatures camouflaged around the classroom.
