Corpus Christi, Goodall Road, Leytonstone E11 4EP and Cardinal Wiseman, Shernhall Street, Walthamstow London E17 9RT.

Finally a page actually dedicated to those that took the daily crusade to either Corpus Christi Senior High or Cardinal Wiseman Senior High Schools via old Route-master buses, trains, tubes, automobiles or on good old fashioned two legs. Technically one school: but spread across the expanse of the London Borough Of Waltham Forest in the guise of two separate individual School buildings. The first

Sadly we were informed by Patrick Sheehan of the sudden passing of his brother Michale Sheehan on the 6th July. To Pat Mick was his big brother but will be remembered fondly on this Page, in particular to a certain generation, as our former Games coach at Corpus Christi. Mr Sheehan was only at Corpus Christi for a relatively short time but he certainly captured the hearts and inspired the dreams for so many of us in that period. He had both a smile and time for absolutely everyone. Although like us I'm sure a few other teachers may have made him shudder such was his affable charm and youthfulness. Mr Sheehan genuinely loved his vocation of instilling enjoyment and fun within the curriculum structure for physical education. Now that Mick has gone I'm sure we can all collectively combine our thoughts and give eternal thanks for the great memories he gave us. Mick Sheehan, we salute you even though the vast majority can no longer perform your signature star jumps without a cautionary glance to the floor or spray of deep heat. May you rest in eternal peace knowing that your name meant something beyond words for anyone that knew you. The gymnasium rope within our souls will perpetually swing to remind us of the indelible etch you forged upon us. God bless you, sir.

We'd like to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas. Thank you all for your exceptional enthusiasm toward this Page dedicated to our old schooldays. Your love and support continues to gather more pace than one of those poor unfortunate victims in a hot game of kiss chase. Here's to a happy 2018 for each of you and hopefully we can deliver some new features for you all to enjoy.
Rob and Jeanette.

If success and wealth was measured by the people we knew than those that remember "Hutch" will all be very rich indeed. Friends come, friends go. Some you tolerate, some you like and some you love. Then there are those that cast an indelible mark on your heart and enhance your soul like Dave. When young many aspire to be like celebrities but I tried to emulate "Hutch" such was his unique charm and popularity. Needless to say I failed as there was only ONE David Hutchins and the benchmark was too high.
God bless you Dave as you blessed us with your genuine and unconditional friendship. He once worried that no one would remember him. Well on the day it truly mattered there was standing room only to say farewell to one of Cardinal Wiseman's favourite sons.
Rest In Peace you beautiful and wonderful man.

A set of bonus plus points going to Geri Mortimer for adding our Page to her facebook education slot within minutes of slapping her "like" on the Page.

Before we break up for the Christmas holidays - and chase each other around our empty imaginary playground - we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for fondness you have all expressed toward this Page and wish each and everyone of you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Which classic Christmas pop hits will rekindle those nostalgic festive magical moments of chasing the object of your passionate desire with mistletoe attached to your person and bringing sack loads of Christmas cards home? Is it "Merry Xmas Everybody" by Slade? Maybe "I Believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake? Or is it "The Power Of Love" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood? What were the moments that stood out for you in the Christmas build up of Christmas past?

Full credit to Terry Fitzsimons for finding this old science teacher advert for Corpus Christi in the New Scientist dated the 23rd July 1981. I wonder which lucky teacher impressed Mr White with their CV.

Sadly we were informed that Mr Christian passed peacefully at the end of September after a long illness. I know some of you would have appeared more than others on his detention radar but I’m sure you’ll all feel a tinge of sadness at the loss of a true school stalwart. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go to his wife Christine and their family.

Running through corridors will never be the same knowing you can never shout at us again. Sneaking into the girl cloakroom always kept you on your toes but made you smile when you caught us red handed. Thanks for all those endless unintentional funny moments during the morning assemblies when you read out your daily crime sheet with such authority.

Goodbye, sir, wherever you maybe. God bless.

It’s with deep sadness we have to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Gina Dipper yesterday (23-9-15).

Here are the heartfelt words of her dear friend, Jacquie Price:

While Gina Dipper and I began our friendship through our garden fences aged just three, it continued throughout our school years and beyond. Gina will always be remembered with a big smile as she brought so much joy and laughter to so many of us with her intelligent witty humour that she obviously inherited from her much loved mum and dad. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to her family, especially Alex her pride and joy.

Best friends forever

Sadly we were informed by Clifford D'Vaz that Mrs Lindemann passed away on the 19th August 2015. Our thoughts and prayers go to a hugely popular teacher and genuinely lovely lady. It's a testament to her character and personality that those she never actually taught French loved her. Repose en paix chère Mme Lindemann

As the school year draws to an end this Page is enjoying as much attention as "uncle Wally" used to command when he parked his splendid chariot of ice cream, hot dog & hamburger distribution emporium outside the gates.
Your support is very much appreciated by us on this side of the school railings. Don't forget the quest is all about actual Page likes we can gather so as well as enjoying the recent photos don't forget to grace the Page with one.
It's plus three points to all of you that have already done so and a slap up meal from Uncle Wally's van for Ade Smyth, Liane Silvester and Laura Reilly for adding this Page to their Facebook education slot without being asked.
