On the first day of Autumn our Caterpillar Club Explorers embraced the changing season in this week’s session!

We began by reading We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt which excited our explorers to go on their very own autumn treasure hunt. They searched for leaves, conkers and other seasonal gems.

We also spent time rolling conkers, playing in the mud kitchen and plenty of dinosaur adventures!

A very special visit 📚✨

We were delighted to welcome author Sita, in collaboration with The Children’s Bookshop in Muswell Hill, for an inspiring workshop centred around her beautiful new book, The Tale That Time Sews.

From exploring the creative process behind writing and illustration to reflecting on stories of belonging, memories and connection, the children enjoyed a session full of curiosity, imagination and creativity.

A huge thank you to Sita and illustrator Jane Ray for sharing their inspiration with us, and to The Children’s Bookshop for making this visit possible.

We welcomed our little explorers to their first session of Caterpillar Club. We enjoyed reading Shark in the Park and spotting the characters around the woods before getting creative and making telescopes using natural treasures like leaves and petals.🍃

We went on dinosaur adventures, tested out ramps with cars and spent lots of time exploring and playing together.🌳💚

Who said the children get to have all the fun?! Before term began, our Grimsdell teachers swapped the classroom for the great outdoors with an exciting team-building session led by our fantastic Forest School team!

Games, tool skills, getting crafty, creative fun in the mud kitchen...and plenty of laughter!
