We are thrilled to announce that we will be rounding off this year with a whole-school, Summer Show.

We were overwhelmed with your feedback and gratitude for the last show and very much plan to create another magical experience for our dancers. Here are just some of the treasured words we received from parents after our Vacani ‘24 show;

Preparation is already underway with our teachers setting themes, selecting and arranging music, creating choreography and designing costumes. We are also working with our technical team on video projections and lighting design which gives our pupils the full experience of performing in a professional theatre production from initial rehearsals to stepping out on stage in front of a supportive audience. 🎭🌟🎶✨

We are immensely proud of these 4 pupils who have just passed their ISTD Cecchetti Grade exam with flying colours.

They have shown commitment, perseverance and a heartwarming sense of camaraderie in the lead up to the exam - and their many years dancing with us - and were a credit to themselves on the day.

Improvisation to music allows children to express their emotions and explore their imaginations through movement whilst deceloping their confidence and sense of performance, in a supportive environment.

The athhleticism of ballet makes it impressive and physically challenging yet it is the artistry which brings stories to life and magic to audiences. The beauty of our syllabi is that both elements are combined, giving pupils the tools to become well-rounded performers in whichever path they choose.

In our ballet exams with the ISTD, children are assessed not only on their technique but on improvisation, performance and sense of enjoyment too. This holds great value for our pupils - it’s often the part they enjoy the most! - and allows every child to shine 🌟✨

What a positive start we’ve had to the year!

🩵 It’s been a joy to welcome our pupils back to their classes with enthusiasm and energy for the new year! Excitement is already building for our show and we’ve started working towards new class goals.

🌟 This term sees Miss Ann leading our Thursday classes at Broomwood. Our Vacani Junior Associates, Creative dancers and Seniors are extremely lucky to have such an inspirational teacher and dancer passing her expertise on to them.

💖 We are also starting 2026 with the addition of Miss Emily and Miss Iona to our team, as assistant teachers. Our dance assistants are an extremely valued part of our school and we are excited for them to become a part of our Vacani dance community.

🩰 We have already run our first set of exams of the year with the ISTD. Congratulations to our Vacani Associates who have taken their very first Cecchetti Grade exam. We are very proud of how you supported one another as a team and worked so hard towards your exam.

If the first 2 weeks of term set the mood for the year ahead, 2026 is going to be a magical one ✨✨

Our Primary dancers stand tall with their beautiful ballet arms, proudly showing our teacher and pianist their smartest first positions, whilst our Standard 1 pupils take their exciting first steps at the barre, mastering their rises.

Our Tuesday timetable offers classes from Baby Ballet up to Standard 4, accompanied by our wonderful pianist, Mr. Charles, who has been playing at Vacani for more than 35 years!

How lucky we have been to have the Sugar Plum Fairy visit our classes this Christmas!

Our future fairies have been enchanted by her performance of the famous variation from the Nutcracker, mesmerised as they danced along with her and even thanked her with their best curtseys, before waving her off to the land of the sweets!

Here at Vacani, we feel incredibly lucky to have ballet in our lives and to be able to share it’s beauty, athleticism and magic with our young dancers.

We celebrated World Ballet Day with our amazing pupils who inspire us in every class with their creativity, dedication and passion for dance!

We are starting off the week celebrating our wonderful Senior dancers, pictured here with Miss Liliana backstage at our show, ‘Dreaming’, earlier this year.

Our students showcased a stunning performance inspired by ‘Jewels’, an abstract ballet created by choreographer, George Balanchine. Each dancer represented one of the three acts; Emeralds, Rubies and Diamonds.

Not only did our long-term pupils give an assured group performance and sparkle in their solos on stage, they also caused quite the delight amongst our younger pupils as they glimpsed their beautiful tutus and pointe shoes in the backstage! 🩰✨

Congratulations to our student, Abigail, who successfully auditioned for Cecchetti Ballet Associates and starts the 2024/2025 course today.

This will be the 3rd year that she has gained a place on the prestigious Associates scheme and sees her progress to the Pre-Senior class.

Abigail attends Ballet, Contemporary, Theatre Jazz and Tap classes with us at Vacani and we could not be more proud that the dedication and hard work she puts into every one of her classes is paying off.

Our Autumn Term starts this Saturday at St. Michael’s and next Tuesday at Broomwood.

We have Classical Ballet for all ages and levels aswell as Tap, Theatre Jazz and Contemporary Dance.
