What I’ve learned is: keeping things gentle, talking it through, and not expecting “perfect” routines straight away makes any transition so much easier. Slow mornings where possible, little check-ins, and reminding them it’s okay to take it step by step. 🌱

It’s not about doing it all in a rush, it’s about finding what works for your family as the seasons shift. 💛

Hello! I’m Kirsty, and this is my family. 👋

We’re a home educating family that often gets asked why we chose this path & how we do it. After working in the education system myself and seeing our children’s emotional and academic needs go unmet we knew we had to find a different way forward.

That’s when we discovered home education. It’s been an incredible journey so far, some upsets and downs! But our children are happier, confident, exploring their individual interests and have massively improved academically! Never in a million’s did I think this is something we could do but turns out, it’s pretty easy when you know how!

Following our experiences we are passionate about showing that traditional schooling isn’t the only option available! If traditional schooling works for your child that’s amazing, but we cannot hide the fact in this modern world it is failing many children who require minor & major additional needs, extra help & support.

I want to be clear: Following my time working in a school, I want to emphasize that teachers and school staff do an incredible job! I have seen firsthand how many staff members nurture and support students to the best of their ability, in most cases! It’s the system itself that’s broken, not the people within it!

On this page, I will be sharing insights, information, tips, resources, and more to raise awareness for alternative paths to access an education.
